ITV producers were hoping for a dry series ofA Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but the camp have already had a soggy start due to a rain storm blasting the camp on day one

As the cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2025 have now made their way to the camp where they will spend the better part of three weeks, thunder and lightning storms have reportedly battered the camp giving them a wet start.

The stars in this year’s show include comedian Ruby Wax, actor and eighties pop star Martin Kemp, radio presenter and model Kelly Brook, rapper Aitch, former Lioness Alex Scott MBE, social media influencer Angry Ginge, EastEnders star Shona McGarty, comedian Eddie Kadi, Emmerdale star Lisa Riley and TV personality Jack Osbourne.

Australia is known for its extreme weather, but excessive rain can cause the camp to flood as there is a stream which runs through the camp, which can overflow.

It has been reported that I TV producers were hoping for a dry series of the show as the weather can impact the morale of the campmates who are essentially living outside. It has been reported that when it rains, the campmates crowd together in the Bush Telegraph to seek shelter.

Back in 2023, it was reported that Brittney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynn, abandoned her spot on the show due to the rain and was followed by food critic, Grace Dent.

Last year was marked as the worst rain in the ITV shows history, however no campmates decided to leave before their time. A source reported to the Daily Mail: “The jungle camp cannot cope with this level of rain and the thing is, when it rains like this, it’s not fun for anyone involved. In fact, it’s miserable. It dampens the mood and ultimately ruins the show”.

The first episode of the 2025 series kicks off tonight (Sunday 16 November) and the first challenge that a few of the stars will face is Sky’s The Limit.

The first five celebrities to arrive on site are Kelly Brook, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty and Martin Kemp who are told to skydive into their jungle experience.

The celebs are told that they will be competing to win a seat in the Getaway car which will provide them with the most direct route to camp. And also a steak dinner along with a comfy bed will await them if they win the challenge.

The task consists of trying to unlock the Getaway car key fob which is attached to rope. Making their way through offal and slime, they have to find the tools that will help them unlock five bolts on the wall, which in turn will unlock the key fob.
