We tried out the non-alcohol beers that Tom Holland, a famous actor from Hollywood, makes, and they make great Father’s Day gifts for those who don’t want to drink.
There seems to be a lot of beer in the shops right now with Father’s Day just over a week away. However, drinking a cold pint doesn’t have to be an alcohol-fueled experience anymore, and there are now plenty of great non-alcoholic beers and lagers to choose from, including the brand-new Tom Holland, an actor who has created a star-studded brand.
After speaking openly about his past drinking issues, the Spider-Man actor officially launched BERO, his premium no- (or rather, very low-) alcohol beers in the UK at the beginning of this year. I secretly gave some BERO’s beverages to a beer lover without disclosing that they were alcohol-free, and spoiler alert, they couldn’t tell the difference.

The newly launched Double Tasty West Coast Style IPA is available for purchase from BERO on the website for just £14 for a six-pack, along with four other brews: Edge Hill Hazy IPA, Kingston Golden Pils, Noon Wheat, and Noon Wheat.
I gave our tester a glass of Kingston Golden Pils, which is BERO’s lager-style offering and lists its tasting notes as “malty, biscuit, herbal, spicy, grassy, toast, bread, Vienna malt, moderate bitterness” (please ignore the totally inappropriate glass it was poured into in the photo above; I obviously need to invest in some proper beer glassware).
Our tester usually has a skepticism about non-alcoholic beers, but I could tell he really enjoyed this, praising its flavors and how fresh and refreshing it was. In contrast to many no-alcohol alternatives, it also pour a really authentic looking head. He didn’t realize there was “no” alcohol in it until I told him, despite his suspicions that it might have a lower alcohol percentage than his usual favorite.
I had a sip as well, and I honestly couldn’t believe how nice it was as a non-drinker. It tasted really premium, but it wasn’t all that sweet or watery like many zero-alcohol alternatives, which I typically dislike in alcoholic beers. On a hot summer day, I could definitely see myself enjoying this.
Customers on the BERO website also praised Kingston Golden Pils as “one of the best NA beers I’ve tried” and said it “tastes exactly like a beer should, has amazing texture, and perfect body.”
The variety packs, which cost from £28.50 for 12 cans, are my top picks for BERO gift giving, which are a great way to test the range.
BrewDog’s Mixed AF selection pack, which retails in eight, 24 or 48 cans, is another place to buy no-alcohol beers. The price range starts at £10.
For just under £25.95, BeerHunter offers a 12-pack of Low/No Alcohol Free Mixed Beer Selection, which comes with a wide selection of cans and bottles.
