- Angry Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, was crowned the King of the Jungle on I’m A Celeb, but he first made a name for himself as a YouTuber, TikTok star and Twitch streamer. Since 2020, he has accrued 937k subscribers on YouTube, 2.3 million followers on TikTok, 1.9 million on Instagram and 1.4 million on Twitch.
- By monetising videos on social media platforms, Ginge is estimated to have made somewhere between £804k and £1.1 million in the last year alone. Software website vidIQ estimates that his earnings from YouTube, see Ginge take away $3k-$10k (£2.3k-£7.5k) a month. This gives him an estimated annual income of £24.6k-£90k.
- Creators can make money from YouTube by joining the YouTube partner program, which allows you to make money from ads, YouTube Premium and fan funding features. This typically requires at least 1,000 subscribers, but the more you have, the more you are likely to earn.
- Ginge’s Twitch streams add even more to his income. Subscribers on Twitch are tiered, with streamers getting roughly $12.50 (£9.39) for the top tier. If you go by the viewing figures for Ginge’s last stream which had 183k views, and if they were all top tier subscribers, he’d have made £1.7 million in one month.
- Ginge was also reportedly paid £100k for appearing on I’m A Celeb. A source told The Sun that they estimated Ginge’s net worth could rise to £5 million after being on the ITV show.
