David Pearce is facing the rest of his life behind bars after a judge convicted the Hollywood producer of the murder of two women and sex abuse and rape of seven others

A disgraced Hollywood producer has been sentenced to almost 150 years behind bars after being found guilty of raping and killing two model. A judge ruled on Wednesday that David Pearce will die in jail after being told his sentence will run until 2171.

The huge sentence comes after he was convicted of the drug overdose deaths of 24-year-old model and aspiring actress Christy Giles and her 26-year-old friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola on November 13, 2021.

The disgraced star, 42, plied the women with fatal cocktail drugs at his Beverly Hills home after meeting at a warehouse party a few hours earlier. The pair were dumped and left for dead outside different Los Angeles hospitals by masked men.

Pearce was found guilty of the horrific crimes in February. He was also sentenced for a series of other sex abuse and rapes on seven other Jane Does between 2007 and 2021.

In the 146-year sentence, Judge Eleanor Hunter ordered the maximum sentence of 25 years to life for each murder. Additional sentences were also handed out to Pearce for the rape victims.

She told the producer: “You’re the worst kind of criminal, Mr Pearce…You’re charming, you’re smart, you’re a manipulator, and you’re extremely goal-driven.

“You fit the role … Not once have I seen a genuine issuance of some sort of remorse. No sense of compassion for Hilda and Christie or anyone else.”

While Cabrales-Arzola was able to be revived in hospital after the ordeal, a lack of oxygen had left her brain dead. She remained in a coma for almost two weeks before dying on November 24.

Sadly, Giles was already dead when she was dropped off at hospital. It was claimed during the trial that Pearce had told a friend “dead girls can’t talk”. Prosecutors said this showed Pearce was wanting the victims to die.

Pearce denied giving the two women the drugs that killed them and said he “didn’t personally see” them take any drugs after they returned to his home. His defence team also tried to suggest that the drug may have been “accidentally ingested” after being mistaken for cocaine.

In testimony, Pearce also denied sexually assaulting the two women. He also denied the seven other counts of sexual assault.

Cabrales-Arzola’s sister, Fernanda Cabrales-Arzola had previously hit out at why Pearce wasn’t already jailed before the crime. She told the Daily Mail she felt he should have been behind bars ‘years ago.’

A report in the Los Angeles Times said the LAPD presented rape allegations against Pearce on at least three times prior to the crime. It’s thought these were between 2007 and 2020.

Pearce’s co-defendant Brandt Walter Osborn, 45, who faced two counts of accessory after the fact, saw the jury unable to reach a verdict on the charges against him. Hunter declared a mistrial after jurors told her they were deadlocked.
