Gov. Lawal Mourns 17 Students Lost In Zamfara Fire Tragedy

The families of the 17 students who perished in the fire tragedy at the Almajiri School in Zamfara State have been condolled by governor Dauda Lawal.

At least 17 students have tragically lost their lives in the state’s Kaura-Namoda LGA.

In a statement issued in Gusau on Wednesday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, described the fire incident as highly unfortunate.

“The tragic fire at Makarantar Mallam Ghali, an Almajiri school located in the Kauran Namoda local government area, shocked me,” said the director.

” On behalf of the Zamfara State Government, we extend our condolences to the families, the school, and the entire nation as we mourn the loss of these young souls.

May Allah’s power and strength help the families who are going through this difficult time. I wish the injured a quick recovery.

We would examine the root causes of this fire and look for ways to stop it from happening again as a responsible government.
