Linda Clark, the mother of his mother, was taken to the hospital this week, just days before her birthday, according to radio host Rylan Clark. He earlier disclosed the news to his fans and that he would be taking some time off from work as a result.
Rylan, 36, informed the hospital’s “emergency team” that Linda, 72, “isn’t well” and that she has received treatment there. He announced to his audience that his BBC Radio 2 show will be cancelled tomorrow.
The announcement comes just before Linda’s Sunday birthday celebration. Ryan, who has been hospitalized for a while, assured his followers on Instagram that he would keep them informed as Linda recovers.
Rylan, who co-starred with Linda on Celebrity Gogglebox, made the announcement earlier this evening in a statement on the platform. He stated in his message that “Mummy Linda isn’t well, sadly, so I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow.”
The presenter continued, “Thank you to the Princess Alexandra Hospital’s emergency team.” particularly Tanya, who was so concerned for my mother. As she recovers, we’ll keep you informed. She performs well.
Since then, he has updated Linda. She’s doing really well, thankfully, according to Ryan in a follow-up message later this evening. Everything is going well. Thank you for your messages.
Rylan’s replacement for this weekend’s installment has been revealed today and he hosts his own show on BBC Radio 2 every Saturday afternoon. Richie Anderson has been confirmed to be his cover on Rylan on Saturday, tomorrow.
Diana Vickers, a former X Factor contestant, will join Richie, 37, on the program, and she already sent a message to listeners earlier. Before speaking with Diana, who just released her Just Between Us podcast, he requested their “help.”
Richie confirmed that he will replace Rylan in a video that was shared on his Instagram account. He stated to his followers, “I need your assistance. So I’m going to be joined in the studio by Diana Vickers, who I’m going to be sitting in for Rylan on Radio 2 for tomorrow.

Rylan wrote: “So we’ve finally done it,” as he announced the news last week. “Linda is now on Instagram.” He continued, “Bear with as she gets used to it; follow her if you want.” He continued, “I can’t believe this is occurring.”
