In response to rumors that he’s having trouble selling tickets, Giovanni Pernice has reduced ticket prices for his most recent stage production.

The 34-year-old professional dancer has been dealing with unfavorable reviews since the winter of 2023 after a violent disagreement with Strictly Come Dancing partner Amanda Abbington. Amanda accused Giovanni of unprofessional behavior after the 2023 season, allegations he furiously refuted and which he was largely overruled by a BBC investigation.

He left his time on the dance reality show and accepted new challenges away from the cameras as a result of the affair, which cast a shadow over his career in the UK. He has been performing on stage with his stage show, The Last Dance, this year, but it is being suggested that he is having trouble selling all of his tickets.

According to reports, he had reduced ticket prices to just £15 in an effort to entice viewers, where tickets had previously been priced between £36 and £135. The show’s entirety should see him perform 50 dates across the UK, with the London Palladium Theatre’s 4 May set for the show’s climax.

The Sun reports: “]Giovanni is] struggling to sell tickets and has slashed prices. His Birmingham Symphony Hall Last Dance Tour date for Saturday has been listed on Central Tickets, a discount website. However, a tour spokesperson refuted The Sun’s claims, stating that price changes are frequently seen during a tour.

As the shows get closer to selling restricted view or balcony seats, Giovanni’s tour producer told The Mirror. This is not true for the majority of touring shows, but we do not think it means lowering ticket prices.

The Giovanni Pernice The Last Dance Show is billed as: “Giovanni, the Italian maestro of dance, takes centre stage in ‘ The Last Dance’, a mesmerising production that transcends the boundaries of live performance. With a career rooted in passion, dedication, and unparalleled artistry, Giovanni has become a household name, captivating audiences worldwide with his electrifying performances and unmatched charisma”.

One user wrote on Instagram: “Saw you tonight in Oxford. What a show! You are a fantastic performer! You never disappoint. Wish I could see you again”! While another typed: “No one compares to you”.

Anton Du Beke, Giovanni’s former Strictly co-star, explained why he stayed by the star throughout his difficulties, according to reports of struggling ticket sales. The audience members who attended last summer’s trip cheered loudly for the then-fire star while Giovanni was still at the center of the investigation.

Reflecting on this moment in time, Anton told the Daily Mail on Friday: “I was delighted, to be honest. I liked that we were on tour together because it might have been different if he had to deal with everything by himself and be locked in a hotel room or flat.

Asked if it was a welcome distraction for Giovanni, Anton confirmed: “Well, to a degree. It’s never far away from the surface, you know? I’m happy that he spent his time with me and the company rather than on his own because it was a very difficult time for him. Apart from the fact that he was terrible at golf, I was all I could do to be friends with him. It might have made him feel worse. Instead, we simply put on a show.
