After her passing at the age of 55, Gigi Hadid joined celebrities and fans to pay tribute to Food Network and Worst Cooks in America star Anne Burrell.
Celebrities and fans have come together to pay sweet tributes to Anne Burrell following her death aged 55. The Food Network and host of Amazon Prime Video’s Worst Cooks in America star died at home in Brooklyn it was confirmed on Tuesday.
Now, stars have been quick to pay their respects to the star, with Gigi Hadid among those sharing fond memories of the star. The model, 30, teamed up with the chef for the competition series Beat Bobby Flay in 2023. Sharing the heartwarming memory, Gigi uploaded a photo to Instagram from their joint TV appearance.
She expressed her sadness at learning about the Great Anne Burrell’s passing. Being able to celebrate this day with her was a dream come true for me as a long-time fan.
The duo “beat Bobby” continued to be Gigi’s revealing of their bonding and eating during the performance. She continued, “I wish it had been done once more. She was fantastic.
Wells Adams, a former Bachelor Nation alumnus who also appeared on Worst Cooks, also paid emotional tribute to Wells Adams on the social media platform. He stated, “I just learned about @chefanneburrell’s passing. On Worst Cooks, I learned a lot. You’ll be cooking up a storm in heaven, I’m sure of it. RIP”.
Carla Hall, who appeared on Top Chef, told PEOPLE: “She was fierce, funny, and an incredibly talented cook and teacher—someone who brought so much fire and joy to everything she did. I was lucky to work alongside her on Worst Cooks and other nonprofit events. She will be deeply missed.”
And fellow Food Network personality Aarti Sequeira said on Twitter/X: “The first time I met Anne Burrell, she gave me tough love I didn’t want—but needed. She was bold, warm, and real.
She says, “Brown food tastes good, but I can’t stop hearing it in my kitchen!” You will be missed, Anne. I appreciate you teaching us all. #luckygirl. “
Loni Love, a comedian, also took to the stage to express her shock and sorrow over Anne Burrell’s passing. She was a remarkable cook and a remarkable person.
“Chef Anne always had the same results on and off camera. She would simply glance over at me. She will be sorely missed. Her family, friends, and fans are my condolences. “Rest Chef”
Following the Food Network’s announcement on their website, the tributes were made. The statement on Tuesday read, “We are deeply saddened to announce the news that our beloved chef, Anne Burrell, passed away this morning.
“Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent, teaching, competing, and never losing her passion for food and the joy it can bring. In this difficult time of loss, our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends, and fans.
Anne’s big TV breakthrough came in 2010 when she first started hosting the brutal Worst Cooks in America alongside Beau MacMillan. The show saw the professionals take contestants through a “culinary boot camp” on their journey to become better chefs.
The show has had 28 seasons since its debut, most of which are available on Amazon Prime Video. In addition to her other projects, most recently those that appeared on Food Network, Anne Burrell’s series Chef Wanted with Anne led her to interview candidates for the best stateside restaurants in an effort to work there.
