On their way to gold in the men’s team sprint at the UCI Track Nations Cup in Turkey, Matthew Richardson, Harry Ledingham-Horn, and Harry Radford established a new British record.
The British trio set a record for the first round of qualifying time of 41.788 seconds, before Ledingham-Horn overcame a narrow deficit with Japan in the gold-medal ride.
Richardson, who was competing for the first time since moving from Australia with the GB squad, said, “We worked really well as a team to put it all together.”
We were learning every ride and taking as much as we could from the previous one because it was our first time competing as a team.
