Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of Nigeria, and Esther Okoronkwo, the star forward, have been chosen for the CAF African Women Player of the Year Award.

On Wednesday, the 2025 CAF Awards – Women’s Categories nominees were announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The award honors the outstanding African women’s football players from the previous year.

Nigeria won its 10th WAFCON title in July thanks to Ajibade and Okoronkwo’s contributions.
