Harry Wilson, the winger for Fulham, may not play until the middle of April after being told he needs foot surgery.

The Wales international was replaced early in the second half after being injured in Manchester United’ 1-0 defeat on Sunday.

The 27-year-old could be out for 10 weeks, according to Fulham manager Marco Silva, who could prevent him from starting Wales’ World Cup qualifying campaign in March.

“It’s not good news for Harry Wilson”, Silva said. “He needs surgery, he’s going to be out for a long period, maybe 10 weeks”.

Kenny Tete, a defender, is also anticipated to miss out for a while.

Reiss Nelson, who has been sidelined since early December, will not be eligible for Saturday’s game at Newcastle, Silva added. “It is getting better,” he said.
