The anonymous woman who claims to be Freddie Mercury’s secret love child has an “unmistakable resemblance,” according to journalist Lesley-Ann Jones, who confirmed this in a Channel 5 documentary.
Over three decades after Freddie Mercury’s death, a new documentary claims to have uncovered evidence that one of the greatest stars in rock history fathered a daughter, who bears what has been described as an “utterly unmistakable resemblance” to him.
The Channel 5 documentary Freddie Mercury: Secret Daughter, fronted by journalist and biographer Lesley-Ann Jones, explores the extraordinary claims made by a woman only known as B.
B, who is now 48, claims she is the only child of Freddie’s and that she was born in 1976 after Mercury briefly liaped with the wife of one of his close friends.
B has finally taken action with her story in Europe after a quiet life for her. She has worked as a nurse and has two children.
17 volumes of Mercury’s handwritten journals, which she received before his passing in 1991, are some of the evidence she has provided that appeared to support her claims.
The backbone of Jones’ upcoming memoir, Love, Freddie, is made up of these journals. The journalist reveals in the documentary that she has met B in person in Montreux, Switzerland, where Mercury frequently makes music recordings.
She acknowledged that she resembled the frontman of Queen. Jonese stated, “I was struck by her unmistakable resemblance to Freddie. He has his nose, jaw, cheeks, and eyes, as well as his jaw. His skin tone, hair texture, and hands.
“Mick Rock, the man who shot the 1970s, also took a particular set of pictures,” he added. He and Freddie had a close relationship. He had a private photo session with B and knew about her, and he gave Freddie the negatives. I’ve seen images.
B refused to release the images despite Jones’ pleas that she release them because she emphasized the privacy of her family. They are the children’s grandfather and my dad’s, and we want them to keep them private, she said.
Her father was and is my father, according to her handwritten letter, which was published as a part of her book. From the moment I was born to the last 15 years of his life, we had a very close and loving relationship.
He was devoted to me and adored me. By the standards of most people, the circumstances surrounding my birth may seem unusual and even outrageous.
That shouldn’t surprise you. He never let his love for and care for me go away. He held me in such high regard.
When B approached her with these claims, Jones initially sceptical, but she continues to insist that B is not interested in fame or fortune. She continued, “It was my instinct to doubt everything, but I am certain that she is not a fantasist.”
B was not included in Mercury’s will, but rather was privately provided for to maintain secrecy, according to Jones. His only child was born accidentally with the wife of one of his closest friends while his friend was away on a long business trip, she said. Abortion was a possibility for the Roman Catholic mother.
