Queen legend Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991 at the age of 45, and now his friends have refuted claims that he had a secret child before passing away.
The music world has been captivated by a claim that Freddie Mercury may have had a secret daughter.
Lesley-Ann Jones, the journalist who was just 15 when the Queen legend’s legend passed away, follows her in the new documentary from Channel 5’s Freddie Mercury: Secret Daughter.
B claims to have spent years putting her relationship with Freddie together and that she is the result of a one-time relationship.
The 17 volumes of allegedly Freddie’s personal journals, which form the basis for her book Love, Freddie, are at the center of her story. Lesley-Ann visits Montreux, Switzerland, where Freddie frequently records, to meet B and examine the evidence that she presents in the documentary.

Freddie’s friends and associates remain incredibly skeptical despite the claims having made headlines. Producer Mike Moran questions whether Freddie would have kept a child a secret, saying, “You’d think he would have dropped a hint.”
If he had a child, he would be proud of having a child, writes journalist David Wigg, who agrees with the question. He would share this with his friends. This person wants to come out, but she won’t even say who she is, in my opinion, 30 years later.
B’s emails to Lesley-Ann suggest that Mary Austin, Freddie’s long-time partner, was aware of her and all of his “undisclosed secrets.” However, Mary claimed to not be the one who would keep such a secret and that it would be “astonishing” if Freddie had a child without her knowledge.
Many of the questions that remain unanswered are raised by David’s claim that she “doesn’t want to be involved” in the pending allegations.
The diaries at the heart of B’s story have also raised eyebrows. Friends insist they never saw Freddie write in journals. “I never saw a diary. I never saw Freddie write in a diary, he never mentioned a diary to anybody. How weird is that?” asks Mike.
However, B insists that she is the only person who can view the journals because “he never wanted anyone to doubt him or forget who he really was.”
Some people remain unconvinced despite the shocking revelations. When David says that B’s claims are falsified, it would be a disgraceful thing to do to an extraordinary human being like Freddie, Mike warns of the potential consequences.
The potential truths of these startling assertions will be explored in Freddie Mercury’s Secret Daughter, along with the enduring legacy of the artist behind Queen.
The documentary asks viewers to consider whether there may be untold details to Freddie Mercury’s life, with the intimate testimony and the setting of Montreux’s legendary recording studios.
