Given that Fred Sirieix and Gino D’Acampo are alleging inappropriate behavior, Gino D’Acampo has backed his friend and co-star.

After allegations against him were dropped, the TV chef, who is well known for his on-air appearances on This Morning and host of Family Fortunes, has been quietly fired by ITV. He is facing accusations of “distressing” and “sexually inappropriate” behaviour after dozens of people detailed experiences described variously as “unacceptable, distressing and horrendous”.

More than 40 people are said to have contacted ITV News in the past, claiming that the allegations were made over a period of more than 12 years. D’Acampo has “firmly denied” the allegations made by “dozens of people”, adding that they were “deeply upsetting”. He brushed off any negative comments over the weekend as he continued his work.

D’Acampo participated in a meet-and-greet with fans, and he captured a video of it on Instagram. He flogged his cook book in an Asda store before heading there. In the clip, many of D’Acampo’s fans could be seen hugging the under fire star. Alongside the clip, D’Acampo said: “Always fantastic to meet my fans, you guys are just awesome. Thank you for hosting us, ASDA.

Fred, the star of First Dates, expressed his support for D’Acampo after liking the post. Despite the accusations made against his co-star, he had remained silent, which suggests D’Acampo is receiving his support. Last year, the pair starred together on their new series Gino and Fred: Emission Impossible.

The duo have worked together multiple times over the years, starring alongside Gordon Ramsay in Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip. It was produced by Gordon’s production company, Studio Ramsay, who issued a statement: “Studio Ramsay have not worked on a series with Gino D’Acampo since 2022. We take all allegations of inappropriate behaviour and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigate, and take appropriate remedial action when warranted”.

In ITV News ‘ investigation, one woman claimed Gino told her he would “like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter” while working on a photoshoot. Another alleged that when she confronted him about a location shoot, he allegedly opened the door while wearing boxer shorts and joked about his privates, making her uncomfortable.

While a separate claim claimed that Gino threatened a junior Italian Express employee. “I was present when Gino said to the runner, ‘ If you don’t get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend'”, one female crew member said. Gino responded to the allegations in their entirety in a statement to ITV News, saying: “I’ve been informed by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some of which date back more than ten years.

The allegations are firmly refuted, and I have never been informed of these issues. I made no effort to upset or irritate anyone by doing anything. This is simply not in my nature. The version of events being presented to me is not what I can identify. I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned to appear on prime time programs during the time it is now believed I was acting inappropriately. Not only have these allegations never been made with me before.

“I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1, 500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. The suggestion that I have acted improperly against is deeply upsetting because I take these matters very seriously.
