Freakier Friday trailer sends fans into meltdown with epic first look at the sequel

Following the release of the trailer for Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis’ long-awaited reunion, fans of Freaky Friday are erupting.
The main characters in the 2003 original film, Anna and Tess Coleman, swap bodies and pick up life lessons before deciding to turn their bodies on their own. The first movie was a smash hit, earning over $86 million (over $81 million) at the box office and cementing Jamie Lee’s comedic status with Lindsay, 38.
Disney released the first trailer for the movie on Friday, saying: “This summer is about to get Früeaky FREAKIER.” Later this year, a sequel to the film is scheduled to be released. With a psychic reading of their palms, Footage captured both Lindsay and Jamie Lee back in action.
The mother and daughter duo act unsurprisingly after the psychic informs them that their lives have previously been exchanged, but the pair later become concerned when the psychic warns that the lessons they have learned from the past may be required to be used again. Tess and Anna are then scream as they discover that Anna’s daughters have also swapped with them and that they are no longer in their own bodies.
Jake, who was Jake in the original, was also cast in the sequel, and fans were delighted to see the original case cast members back. One fan wrote, “Ahhh, Charlie Munro at the end!” “IT’S GETTING HAWT IN HERE!” Another typed, “Oh my goodness, the OG’s aesthetic is unmatched, I can’t wait to see everything in this.” I grew up in Pink Slip, and I even have a band tee that I still wear… I’m so excited about this! “!
One fan wrote, “The multiple body switches, pointing out the unexpected plot twist shown in the title? It will be a wonderful time for this. Another reportedly reads, “I’m SO excited.”
The new movie’s official synopsis reads, “The beloved 2003 movie with a multigenerational twist, the film takes place years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) went through an identity crisis. Anna now has a stepdaughter and a daughter of her own. Tess and Anna discover that lightning may indeed strike twice as they navigate the myriad difficulties that come with a family fusion.
Additionally to Lindsay, Jamie Lee, and Chad, the movie features Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. At a Disney event last August, Lindsay said, “It’s more fun, it’s more emotional, and it’s all for you guys.”
She continued, “Seriously, our only motivation to be here doing this is because of your love.” That’s the reason. While Jamie continued, “It feels like it’s picking up where we left off, which is really beautiful.” Friday 8 August is when Fakirer Friday is scheduled to release.
