Fans of the long-awaited sequel, “The Parent Trap,” are certain that Lindsay Lohan will make a reunion with one of her co-stars.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay, 38, will reprise their roles in the 2003 Disney film, which follows the mother-daughter duo who alternate bodies after unintentionally consuming magical fortune cookies.
A sequel to the popular film has been rumored for some time, and Lindsay and Jamie made the announcement at D23 last year. A brand-new trailer for the film was released on Friday after the filming was finished in August, causing a lot of fanfare on social media.

Anna, the main character in the trailer, is now a grown-up with a newly wed step-daughter and a now-adopted step-daughter. The upcoming new film features a four-way body swap where Anna, her mother Tess (played by Jamie Lee), and her daughter and step-daughter.
Anna now has a daughter and a soon-to-be-stepdaughter, despite years of identity crisis that Tess and Anna experienced. Tess and Anna discover that lightning might strike twice as they navigate the difficulties that come with the fusion of two families, according to the film’s official tagline.

Elaine Hendrix also appears in the sequel, despite the trailer that features Chad Michael Murray reprising his role in Freakier Friday. In the renowned 1998 Disney film, the 54-year-old actress portrayed Meredith, Lindsay’s soon-to-be-stepmother. “A new surprise reunion,” you ask? Elaine Hendrix, reportedly from THE PARENT TRAP, has reportedly joined the FREAKIER FRIDAY cast! one fan tweeted.
“A new iconic reunion!” Freakier Friday features Elaine Hendrix in perfect harmony! Can’t wait to see her re-create that magic on screen.” another responded, while one hoped Elaine would portray Meredith, who, as Dennis Quaid said, would appoint her stepdaughter to boarding school. If Anna’s “brats” behave mistily, will she send them to Switzerland, or is she kind this time? they quipped.
Some devoted fans wished for another guest appearance in the upcoming sequel because Freaky Friday was a remake of the 1976 Disney film, which featured Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster. One person wrote, “Jodie Foster is the OG Freaky Friday GOAT’s ONLY cameo.”
In August, Freakier Friday will be available.
