Look no further than this “better than Dyson” model for a new fan if you’re looking for one with the power and low noise output that are currently on sale.
While summer may be coming to an end, scorching temperatures are still a grip on Britain, with some places seeing the mercury soar above 30C this past week, and there will be even more scorching heat. Perfect timing for Amazon to reduce the cost of a top-rated cooling device by 29%.
The Honeywell Turboforce Power Fan’s price has been reduced from the usual £22.49 to £22.49. Despite its compact design, the gadget, which has a stellar 4.5-star rating, has been hailed as “superior” and “powerful” by Dyson.
Forget about Dyson bladeless, a delighted Amazon customer gushed. Better than this tiny fan. Its size makes it very powerful. No more cliches needed; simply purchase it.

Manchester Evening News journalist Bethan Shufflebotham put the fan through its paces. She revealed: “Despite its compact size of no more than 30cm in height or width, this Honeywell fan packs a punch. I’ve never felt the need to try a Dyson fan, as this device does an excellent job of keeping me cool during the summer months while working from home. It even outperforms the £20 tower fan I bought from Aldi in 2022.”
Bethan noted that the fan comes assembled in a snap when it’s ready to set up. It can tilt by 90 degrees and has a three-meter cable. Bethan remarked, “Its sleek and minimalist design is far from an eyesore, and its lightweight nature makes room-to-room movement simple.” I’d suggest getting two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, given the cost.
This fan can be mounted on a wall or used as a desk fan with three speed settings. Despite its potency, Bethan was particularly impressed by how quietly it operated.
She noted: “The slowest speed is almost silent, making it perfect for work calls during the day, watching films or catching up on Love Island, and it doesn’t disturb my sleep when used overnight.
There is no need to press the volume button on the TV remote, despite the fact that the medium speed setting produces a gentle hum that makes things easier to listen to. The performance is more than worth the price for the highest setting, which is noisier than the others but no noisier than the other fans we’ve tested over the years.
On Amazon, the fan has received a five out of five star rating for the customer. Extremely quiet, even when operating at full power, a satisfied customer declared. Definitely superior to my Dyson hot and cold fan due to its strong breeze. I have no fault with this.
Another comment was made that “This fan is a powerhouse. Despite its size, I have no idea how it can be so powerful. It is easily at least ten times as powerful as the Dyson fan, which we also have, which is a really bad purchase.
However, one user complained that the settings switch’s design was insufficiently airflow-efficient. The switch needs to be turned on and off in an awkward location, which is the main issue.
