Fearne Cotton made telling comment about her marriage before shock split from Jesse Wood

On Friday night, Fearne Cotton revealed her shocking split from husband Jesse Wood.

The pair, who have two children together and have been married to each other for ten years, are divorcing just days after Fearne revealed that she underwent surgery to remove two benign tumors from her jaw. She is currently recovering from surgery.

She explained their spit in a statement on Instagram, explaining that she and Jesse are ending their marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We ask that you keep our family’s privacy a minimum at this time.

Fearne, a TV host and podcast host, has previously revealed details of her marriage. In one telling comment, she explained how she was not “living this perfect, fairy-tale life”. However, at the time she admitted the couple were as strong as ever, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

She published an article in Red Magazine in the spring of 2019, and she made the comment. She had revealed in her column that Jesse and I had experienced a rough patch a year prior. She explained how Jesse’s touring with his band, Reef, was putting a strain on her while keeping her own career moving while taking care of the kids.

But she confessed her open comments weren’t meaning they were still struggling. Speaking to the Telegraph, she said: “I wrote that article to go” what a load of s**t”. Work is required in every marriage. It doesn’t dilute our love or make our marriage any weaker, it actually makes it stronger because we’re willing to have those conversations”.

She continued, “My teenage stepchildren are old enough to browse the internet freely and I just thought I don’t want them reading that and thinking Jesse and I are having struggles and haven’t told them because we’re an extremely honest family,” adding that she did do so in an effort to dispel the rumors. I’m happy to share the good and bad bits of myself because, of course, I’m not living this perfect, fairytale life”.

The actress also revealed recently how the couple’s tensions were high during the lockdown. Speaking on her Happy Place podcast, Fearne said: “I am a very fiery ­person, and Jesse can also be quite fiery. In front of the kids, we’ve undoubtedly argued. At some point, the majority of parents have. Although it’s not typical, we’ve definitely popped at one another in their faces, and it’s not all that good.

In a sweet ceremony surrounded by Holly Willoughby and her family, podcaster Fearne and Jesse, son of Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood, tied the knot in 2014 in a sweet ceremony. The former couple has two children, and Jesse is also the father of two older children who were previously together.
