Fatboy Slim has gained notoriety over the past ten years for his DJing prowess and has just revealed some outrageous showbiz tales.
A huge football star at his wedding admitted to snobbing Fatboy Slim “full on the face.”
Ronaldo, a Brazilian football player, had a special relationship with Norman Cook when the actor was playing DJ for his wedding a decade ago. The sports star hired the DJ for a performance in Paris in 2005.
The star was asked by the retired Real Madrid player to play at his nuptials in the French capital which was attended by a collection of well-known names including David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham.
Norman has compared how nervous he was when he first arrived at the reception because he didn’t need to be worried when the drinks started to flow because the evening “degenerated into every other wedding.”

Speaking at the launch of his new book It Ain’t Over… ‘Til The Fatboy Sings, he recalled: “It was in Paris. It was kind of weird. I don’t do many weddings but when Ronaldo – this is Brazilian fat Ronaldo, when he was playing at Real Madrid – phones you and says, ‘Will you DJ at my wedding? The Beckhams are going to be there.’
It ended up being like any other wedding, in my opinion. I was thinking, “Oh my god, I’ve probably forgotten the music they want to hear. Everyone looks so old, and no one really knows each other.”
“Roseo is snogging me full on the face, my mate trying to kiss his wife, his dad’s tie round his head, and it degenerated into every other wedding,” Ronaldo said. “Two hours later, everyone is drunk, everybody is dancing on each other’s shoulders.
The 62-year-old said he recalls the wedding antics but does not recall which songs he sang during his “drinking days,” but that the Big Beach Boutique II DVD, which was a huge hit in Brazil, would have been a significant part of his collection.
The Praise You hitmaker, who celebrated his 16th year of sobriety in 2025, said: “I can’t actually recall what I played.” Simply put, I can recall the behavior.
Ronaldo was one of the people who watched the DVD, and I was aware of his significance. I probably watched the DVD in its entirety. However, I regret not playing Come On Eileen.
Before his wedding DJ gig, Ronaldo and Norman first met when the ex-Barcelona player attended one of his concerts in Rio de Janeiro.
He previously stated, “I started hanging out with Ronaldo a few years ago, he started playing at my shows, and I DJ’d at his wedding. He became a fan while he was playing one of my Rio gigs backstage.
