Ex-Geordie Shore star Scotty T has been banned from driving after testing over three times the legal limit for cocaine.
The TV star, whose real name is Scott Timlin, was stopped by police in his Land Rover Discovery in Kenton, Newcastle, on October 18 last year. A blood test revealed the presence of both cocaine and Benzoylecgonine, a byproduct of the drug.
On February 3, Scotty, 36, appeared in Newcastle Magistrates’ Court and admitted to two charges of driving under the influence of controlled substances above the legal limit. It was revealed he had 32 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood, far exceeding the 10-microgram limit, and 800 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine, which is well above the legal 50-microgram limit.
He was fined £330 and handed a 12-month driving ban. He was also required to pay £85 in legal costs.

Scotty first appeared on Geordie Shore back in 2012. He was reportedly sacked from the show, in 2018, after a suspicious white powder scandal, but he said he actually turned down a return because of the new cast members.
The 30-year-old said he’s much happier with his new job, co-hosting Just Tattoo Of Us with Charlotte Crosby, who also found fame on Geordie Shore. He told the Daily Star : “They asked me to go back to Geordie Shore last series but I said no. I preferred to present Just Tattoo of Us with Charlotte and have a laugh and just be myself.
“I would go back for a cameo to show my face and remind them who is the boss – but I wouldn’t go back full time. Especially not with some of the new cast, who are just divs.”
In 2019, Scotty admitted he still snorts cocaine – but he was adamant he’s not addicted. He explained that he turned to drugs after shooting to fame before getting clean in 2017. But after series of family tragedies, including the death of his stepdad, his habit spiralled out of control again.

He checked himself into a clinic in Thailand to get help. Scotty said at the time that he’s much healthier, but still takes cocaine “recreationally”. He previously told The Sun: “I take it on a recreational basis but it’s not a necessity like it used to be. I know my limits…
“I know my triggers. Yes I might do it recreationally but I don’t need it anymore.”
During the peak of his career, he won the seventeenth series of Celebrity Big Brother, competing alongside stars like Darren Day, Danniella Westbrook, Gemma Collins, and Megan McKenna.
He seemed to be getting close to Megan, with whom he also starred on Ex on the Beach, but their connection quickly faded once they left the show.
