After being selected for the tournament this year, legendary former England fast bowler James Anderson wants to play for the first time in The Hundred.

The 42-year-old retired from Test cricket last year and will now play county cricket for Lancashire.

England’s best wicket-taker has made himself available for The Hundred and will be a draft pick on March 12.

Anderson did not sell at the auction for the Indian Premier League this year.

Since a One-Day Cup semi-final for Lancashire in 2019, he has not played any kind of white-ball cricket.

In the 2014 Blast against Warwickshire final, Anderson lost to the Red Rose in a losing effort in the T20.
