Fans’ support was shown when Emmy Award-winning actor Dean Andrews admitted to having been in a hospital and having undergone surgery to treat a health condition on social media.

An Emmerdale star has updated fans to reveal he has successfully undergone surgery for a health issue. Dean Andrews is best known for playing Will Taylor on the ITV soap – a role he held from 2019 until the character was killed off in December last year.

The actor has reportedly been using his time to care for his health despite missing out on television for almost a year. He revealed on social media that he had had eye surgery on Friday.

Taking to Instagram, the Emmerdale star shred a photograph of himself strapped into a seat in a car. Wearing a black golf polo shirt, he had clear protective eye shields plastered onto his face.

The former soap star wrote, “Eye surgery went well thankfully,” in a follow-up message. Fans responded quickly to Dean’s post’s comments section to well-heeled him.

Good news, one wrote. “Be well soon” Another letter read, “I hope you’re recovering quickly.” Another fan also expressed their happiness regarding your op. Take good care of yourself.

When Dean revealed earlier this year that he had been in a hospital and having surgery for a mysterious condition, he had alarmed fans.

The actor was photographed lying in a hospital bed and wearing a hospital gown, without providing any further information. In February, he gave the image two thumbs up and wrote, “Surgery went well. I’m so happy to have awakened. Many thanks to Chris, my surgeon, and the entire staff.

Dean is well known for his voiceover work, having co-starred in the UK TV documentary series Casualty 24/7, which has been broadcast since 2018.

Dean hasn’t appeared on screen since leaving Emmerdale, though. He previously claimed that he adored the ITV soap so much that the writers had to kill off his character to force him to leave, which transpired last year.

He previously stated to The Sun, “With other things we do, like other acting jobs, we stay there for three to five months, and then we all vanish and go on other things, and then we all return.”

Before I arrived, I remember people saying it was like a family at Emmerdale and thinking, “But here it really is,” but it is.

“Because we are together,” We are like a small family, and I definitely see Claire more than my own wife, and Olivia more than my own daughters.

I feel at ease here, I must say. When I first asked to come in and asked how long I wanted to stay, I said, “If I come in now, you’ll have to kick me out.”
