Elizabeth Hurley has revealed how she feels about Maya Jama rocking a pin dress similar to the one she wore 30 years ago. Love Island host Maya wowed fans when she appeared at the MTV Europe Music Awards last November wearing a form-fitting black dress held together with gold pins.
It was also the same night she met her now boyfriend, Ruben Dias. The 30-year-old star went on to make things official with the Manchester City star, 28, during a sun-soaked trip to the Amalfi Coast just days before her return to ITV2 for the new series of the dating show on June 9.
However, Elizabeth, the bedazzled actress, wore a $3,000 Versace dress and pins to the Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere on 31 years ago.

After learning about the link between her and Maya, Liz, 60, stated to The Sun: “I mean, to me, it’s really odd, but it’s actually kind of fabulous.
People have told me, “This is insane, or it’s the dress’s 20th birthday, or it’s the dress’s 25th, over the years. Ruben and Maya reportedly first met at the European Music Awards (EMAs) in Manchester in November 2024, where she wore a Liz Hurley-inspired dress.
Following each other on Instagram after the event. The pair reportedly spotted ringing on New Year’s Eve together by the end of the year.
Maya was seen watching one of Ruben’s football matches in Portugal in March 2025, and things only got worse there. The pair were caught kissing and cuddling at the newly-launched Baller League football event hosted by KSI at London’s Copper Box Arena a month later.
In recent weeks, reports suggest that the relationship has grown more serious. According to legend, Maya made an effort to learn her partner’s native language by taking Portuguese lessons in addition to meeting Bernadette, who is supposed to have introduced Ruben to her mother.
In an interview with the Evening Standard in November, which is about the time she met Ruben, Maya revealed what she was currently looking for in a relationship.
She said, “I’m feeling fussy right now, but the next person I meet wants to marry and have kids with me.”
I don’t want anyone who isn’t going to add to the nice life I’ve created for myself alone. I’m in a lovely bubble, and I’m hoping for happiness. I kind of don’t need you if you’re not.
