El-Rufai Feels Hurt Because He Wasn’t Made A Minister, Says Onanuga

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, says Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai is hurting for being left out during Tinubu’s ministerial appointment.

While the president was forming his cabinet, Tinubu initially suggested El-Rufai as a minister, but the Senate later rejected him.

El-Rufai has recently expressed his disapproval of the All Progressives Congress and the Tinubu administration in light of the ministerial appointment’s aftermath.

El-Rufai asserted in a recent interview that President Tinubu himself was rejected as a Minister and not the Senate.

But speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, Onanuga said that even though El-Rufai worked hard for Tinubu’s emergence as president, it is time for him to move on from the disappointment of not being made a minister.

“I will pity former Kaduna State governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, he feels hurt that he was not made a minister, but I think it’s time for him to move on”, Onanuga said.

You can’t continue to act like a child when you cry over spilt milk because someone has stolen his bread and other things like that.

Onanuga said the President is not denialing his efforts, but that it is appropriate for El-Rufai to feel ashamed for working hard for Tinubu’s victory.

He feels bad about being excluded, he may feel naturally. In a recent tribute to him, the president acknowledged that Nasir had a lot of work to do when he installed President Tinubu, and that leaving him would not mean he would bring down the roof.

The former governor of Kaduna is campaigning against the president everywhere because he feels hurt, according to the presidential adviser, who claims Tinubu has nothing against El-Rufai.
