American actress Drew Barrymore revealed the extent of her daughter’s agonizing holiday injury while riding an e-bike in France.
Drew Barrymore has opened up on the terrifying incident that left her daughter with a nasty injury. The actress and chat show host, 50, said the family had a scary emergency situation as one of her daughters came hurtling off her electric bike during a trip in France.
Drew, who shares daughters Olive, 12, and Frankie, 11, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, revealed the scary ordeal which made her cancel her plans with Stephen Colbert. Speaking on her pal’s US show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Drew told the host how she was in “fabulous France” when the nightmare happened.
When Drew claimed her daughter “ripped her entire elbow open,” the family was biking deep in the mountains. Numerous hospital visits were resulted from it.

We spent days in and out of an E. R., Drew told her pal. She claimed that when the initial incident occurred, her daughter had to think quickly.
As she praised her daughter’s quick thinking, Drew said, “She ripped off her bra and turned it into a tourniquet.” When the presenter attempted to give the mother-of-two some praise, she was also quick to take a dig at herself for teaching her daughter.
“No! That’s who she is, Drew said. And I’m just enthralled by her.
Prior to becoming a mother, Drew admitted earlier this year that she had been selfish. She acknowledged that while being a mother is “consuming,” she actually “prefers” this version of herself.
She wrote, “I’m still not myself,” in response to a fan’s question about how long it took her to regain her sense of self after giving birth. And I’m not sure if I’ll ever return to the carefree, self-centered person I was when I was a child.
I have two daughters and I can never let go of my love and concern for them. It consumes a lot. I’m just attempting to embrace who I am. And I’m now more comfortable with myself.
She continued, “I’m much more capable,” in her US Weekly article at the time. much more reliable. Much more admirable than I’ve ever been.
The 50 First Dates star, however, also emphasized that parenthood and child-freedom should be seen as “considered perfectly fulfilling roads” in life. And she claimed that the most powerful tool for self-discovery is “time.”
She continued, “Motherhood” or “otherhood” should be regarded as being entirely fulfilling roads. And may each of them help us become better people.
However, I believe this takes time. There are a lot of things involved in maturity. The great teacher is time.
