Ditcheva outclasses Inaba despite hand injury

Sumiko Inaba won the PFL Champions Series in South Africa by unanimous decision, while Dakota Ditcheva escaped injury and won.

The Manchester fighter’s constant assault on Inaba put her in danger, but she eventually let go in the final round after coming off the bench and telling her corner, “I’ve broken my hand.

As Ditcheva cruised to the final bell and extended her career’s unbeaten start to 15, Inaba was unable to capitalize. She used kicks to keep the American at bay as she extended the final bell.

My left hand, I believe, was injured. I hope you guys enjoyed it, but I believe I’m devastated because I’ve been out for so long before getting injured once more.

The 26-year-old won the MMA world title in November, becoming the first British woman to do so in eight months.

Ditcheva had expressed her frustrations prior to the eight-month layoff, but she now confirmed that she has a new contract with the PFL after beating Inaba.

I recently resigned from PFL after reaching a great agreement, and I’m looking forward to spending time together in front of large crowds like this. You guys really set a standard,” she remarked.

In the lead-up to the fight, Ditcheva had been vocal about how long she had been away from the cage, blaming a lacked credible opponents.

She won the PFL flyweight title last year with four straight stoppages, but she saw little benefit in competing against her again because of how many of her rivals had fought this year.

According to Ditcheva, who won eight of her nine professional matches, and “there is no denying her skill level,” she was eventually paired up with Inaba.

The Briton remained a standard above, despite Inaba’s unwavering bravery and admirable perseverance throughout.

Ditcheva quickly took control and repelled Inaba by pushing forward, which gave her a number of bad knees throughout the fight.

After punching her hand, Ditcheva landed more crunching knees from the clinch while the crowd chanted her name. She then moved on more cautiously.

However, Inaba’s opponent used kicks to keep her distance before showboating and cupping her ears in victory.

Costello van Steenis, from Spain, defeated Johnny Eblen in the main event to claim the PFL middleweight title.
