Eric Dier, a Munich, Bayern defender, rejected the Allianz Arena’s chance to stay, will leave the team at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old, who was initially on a six-month loan, initially joined the Bundesliga team from Tottenham in January 2024.

The England centre-back was permanently signed by the Germans that summer, with Dier making 45 appearances for the six-time Champions League winners.

Sporting director Christoph Freund said, “We had discussions with Eric about a new contract.”

He stated to us that he would leave us if he didn’t want to.

According to BBC Sport, Dier is in advanced discussions with Monaco to join Ligue 1.

According to what it is understood, negotiations with Monaco are intended to conclude a three-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months.

Bayern are close to capturing the title with a win over RB Leipzig this weekend, making it the first step toward the title.

It will be Dier’s first silverware victory in his career if Vincent Kompany’s side decides to do it.
