P Diddy’s mother has spoken out as her son, who has been found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, awaits sentencing. The most serious allegations he faced included racketeering and sex trafficking, and he was found not guilty of both after a protracted trial.

The disgraced musician sat down and sat in front of the New York courthouse after being found innocent of the most serious charges. Janice had been holding him in the back seat throughout the two-month trial, where he was charged with rape, assault, and abuse.

The 55-year-old will receive a sentence in October after returning to prison, where he has been since his September arrest. However, his mother now acknowledges that their wait is still in the offing despite his friends and family saying the rapper was “good.”

After appearing in court while the jury reached its verdict, Janice, 80, said, “It hasn’t been easy and it’s not over yet.” Janice said she felt content because she didn’t want to collapse or pass away, and that everyone around her didn’t want that. She told the Daily Mail, “We’re not making any plans (for a celebration) because it’s too soon.”

Diddy was denied bail by the judge, who had hoped for him to be released on bond after being found guilty. However, Janice relies on her faith to get herself and the family through the situation rather than being too concerned about “the noise.”

She said, “I put my faith in God, and he’s the only one.” The rest is noise and is unrelated to me. I appreciate your inquiry, and thank you. While Christian, Diddy’s son, said they were “hopeful” of the innocent verdicts, Christian’s son, who is also known as King Combs.

Given that Diddy has already been in jail for nine months, it is unclear how long he will be imprisoned. His defense team wants to serve a sentence from 21 (roughly 1.5 years) to 27 (two and a half years) months in jail. The government anticipates that Diddy will spend between 51 and 63 months in prison (four and a quarter years).

Judge Arun Subramanian, who had previously been denied bail on three occasions, immediately denied bail after resuming the case, saying he “sees no reason to reach the opposite conclusion now.” According to Subramanian, “the defense acknowledged the defendant’s violent behavior in personal relationships,” claiming that it “emerged” in relation to Cassie Venture and Jane.

He added that Diddy’s home searches, which he knew he was being investigated, resulted in violence and illegal behavior. He continued, “This demonstrates a propensity for violence and a disregard for the rule of law.”

Given the complexity of the trial and the disparate positions held by the parties regarding the sentencing guidelines, according to Prosecutor Maurene Comey, there isn’t enough information to sentence Combs without conducting a pre-sentence investigation.

Judge Subramanian addressed the defense attorney and said, “You told the jury that there was violence here,” “you full-throatedly in your closing argument. Domestic violence is also considered violent. And you claimed that there was violence in this instance.

Agnifilo responded, stating that a Jane altercation in June 2024 was the only instance of violence to occur since 2018. After the InterContinental Hotel surveillance footage was made available in 2024, he claimed the musician also participated in the batterer’s program.

Diddy’s lawyer informed the judge that the disgraced musician had contemplated putting the rest of his life in jail, but that he has since been cleared. The jury’s verdict on Mr. Combs’ death, according to Marc Agnifilo.

If Diddy violated any terms set by the court, he continued, adding that if he was released, he would be “nothing short of a fool.” He said, “He treasures the opportunity this court has given him, and he will not rebel against anything he is subject to.”

Given that Diddy had been cleared of racketeering and sex trafficking, Agnifilo claimed that he “should be released on appropriate conditions.”
