After admitting she had taken up golf to find a partner at nightclubs, DJ and TV star Denise Van Outen approached her reported new man at the Glastonbury festival.
Denise Van Outen attended Glastonbury with a very special person, according to reports. She was spotted walking through the iconic music festival with her rumoured new boyfriend following her recent heartbreak.
The 51-year-old DJ and TV personality had a daughter Betsy with Lee Mead, who she had a relationship with ten years ago. After spending 18 months together, she split from Italian real estate mogul Jimmy Barber and trader Eddie Boxshall.
Denise admitted to having the “most hedonistic summer” as a single woman last year, but it seems she is now happily loved up. Having joined celebrity dating app Raya and even taken up golf in an effort to find a man, Denise’s work looks like it has paid off.
The former Big Breakfast host spotted with businessman Adam Butler in the VIP area where she appeared to be “smitten” and surprised Glastonbury fans with a secret DJ set.
“She was holding hands with Adam and they looked like a couple of loved up teenagers,” a source told the Sun, who also saw photos of the pair together. “Denise was smiling and laughing at his jokes and he was taking real care of her, making sure that other boozy revellers didn’t crash into their path.
It’s wonderful to see her expression of joy. Denise told the Mirror last month that she thought golf was a better option for finding a new partner than dating websites and partying on the town.
She told us, “The reason I got into it was after my divorce, and I wanted to go somewhere where there are just loads of men,” to be exact. I recently asked, “Where can I go?” – I can recall spending time with my friend.
“You just go to a nightclub when you’re young,” he said. And I said, “I just don’t want to spend the night in the club, and I’m not going to be able to do that.”
Where have all the nightclubbers vanished, I asked myself? And I looked, and the majority of my male friends have advanced and played golf. “Perfect” was what I imagined.
This summer has probably been the most hedonistic summer I’ve had since the 1990s, Denise told the Mirror after splitting with Jimmy. I’ve had a lot of fun, going out frequently, and enjoying myself over the summer. However, I have a good sense of when to stop.
She previously opened up on how she was exploring new romantic possibilities after joining the celebrity dating app Raya. Denise said: “I did connect with one massive Hollywood star.
We had a brief chat, but I didn’t live in Los Angeles, so I assumed he wouldn’t travel to Chelmsford. I adored Raya. I’ve made some friends. I go on dates. Not an angel, I am. I’m having fun on the go.
Denise’s representative has been contacted by The Mirror for comment.
