If rumors are true, Coronation Street, the longest-running TV soap opera in the world, will celebrate 65 years this month and see the death of a significant character.

In a TV premiere slated for the new year, “Corriedale” will feature a crossover between Corrie and Emmerdale.

The cobbles have hosted a cast that includes actors from Suranne Jones to Dame Joanna Lumley and crooner Michael Ball, as well as becoming household names for beloved characters like Bill Roache as Ken Barlow and Barbara Knox as Rita Tanner.
