In a recent episode of the Making The Cut podcast, Davina McCall and Michael Douglas reveal how romantic they are and how they rarely spend time together.
Davina McCall has opened up about her life with partner Michael Douglas, admitting something that “rarely” occurs. During a fresh episode of the Making The Cut podcast, which Davina presents alongside Michael, the pair revealed they were recording their show on a Saturday — something they don’t typically do.
At the start of the programme, Michael disclosed they were actually without children that day, giving them the house entirely to themselves — a situation any hectic parent would surely envy.
Davina and Michael have been an official item since 2019, but they’ve known each other a long time. He was Davina’s hairstylist during her time on Big Brother. They went on to announce they’d moved in together in January 2023.
We never really record on a Saturday, but today, ladies and gentlemen, we are free, Michael said. No children are ours. The house belongs to us.
Davina continued, “Do you know what’s funny? is how rarely that happens?” As the episode progressed, Michael acknowledged that their relationship actually “haves very “little” time.
It’s unbelievable, Michael responded, “Like, it’s unbelievable. You wouldn’t believe how little time we spend together, you know, on our own, when we aren’t in need of distractions or when doing what we know is required, is spent doing it.
It appears they intended to make the most of the day. Davina was heard agreeing with her partner, who added that this afternoon, they were “gonna be.”
This comes after reports that Davina felt “so happy to be back” at work following her recent brain tumour surgery. She shared these sentiments during an interview on BBC’s The One Show, hosted by Alex Jones and Vernon Kay.
A colloid cyst was discovered during a health check, according to the presenter in November. After that, she had surgery and spent some time in intensive care before coming home to recuperate.
Davina admitted to having the “saddest” revelation in February after having her operation. She mentioned that she had trouble with her short-term memory in a previous podcast interview.
In fact, it would prove to be so significant that Davina even forgot she’d undergone surgery — and believed that she was scheduled for the operation the next day. Michael was instructed to ensure she didn’t touch her scar and had to “reinforce reality.”
However, in a heart-wrenching confession, Davina described how she “spent the most amazing afternoon” with her dad, who had passed away “two years ago.”
