The Scottish actor appears to have no time for David Tennant, who blocked JK Rowling’s request to appear as a guest on the BBC sci-fi show.

If J. K.’s statement is anything to go by, there is still no love between them after ten years since the Doctor Who snub. JK wrote a bitter letter to the actor shortly after it was revealed that Kemi Badenoch would now lead the Conservatives.

David, who played Barty Crouch Jr. in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film adaptation, has had a separate argument with Kemi over the Tory leader’s views on the LGBTQ+ community, and he once said he wished she would just “shut up.” And this may explain why JK took to Twitter as Kemi was revealed as the new Tory leader, saying, “My thoughts and prayers are with David Tennant at this very difficult time.”

Over the past few years, J.K. Rowling has irritated many transgender people (Getty Images).

However, it appears that many people were unimpressed by her sarcastic observation as people flocked to the author’s comment section to criticize her. Someone once said, “You will always be loved while David Tennant will always be hated.” Another person claimed that Joanne is slammed at the mouth that trans people are real. David Tennant is enjoying his life as an effective actor with a loving family and a father who cares for his children.

A third user said, “Funnier when you remember that David Tennant was the obstacle to Rowling playing a starring role in a Doctor Who episode back then.” Meanwhile a fourth person posted: “Fun fact. David Tennant refused to let JK be a part of Doctor Who, which is why she was always so sensitive to him. Making David even more awesome. Here’s an unrelated photograph of David in a t-shirt that says ‘ leave trans kids alone, you absolute freaks’. I love him”.

When David, 53, allegedly argued that he feared the episode would turn Doctor Who into a “spoof” and that JK would not be interested in getting involved. The author reportedly sought out a famous name to replace Kylie Minogue’s Christmas special appearance on the show.

In a number of Russell T. Davies emails, it was revealed that JK was involved. At the time, he explained the idea was dismissed “to keep him happy”. However, the conflict between the actor and the author began while David was kept content. The Doctor was forced to battle a snow-covered world of wizards and witches because Russell had the idea that JK’s imagination would come to life.

At the time Russell said: “David doesn’t like the JK idea. We have paused briefly to decide whether to win him over or to leave something he won’t like. He believes it to be a spoof. We’ve got to keep him happy. He keeps us happy”. Prior to this, Russell had requested that the author write a BBC show episode, but she “politely declined.”
