Former aspiring photographer Brooklyn Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, suffered a string of bad luck during a celebrity golfing tournament in New York this week

Brooklyn Beckham suffered a few awkward moments during his recent participation at the Ryder Cup celebrity golf tournament in New York. The 26-year-old, who is embroiled in a tense feud with his immediate family, joined a huge lineup that included basketball star Toni Kukoč, Eli Manning, and Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost

The game, which was at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, saw David and Victoria’s oldest son rocked a new beard with his navy polo shirt, white cap and navy trousers. One moment saw him wandering around some shrubbery as he searched for his lost golf ball following a poor swing.

He seemed confused as he looked around for his ball while fans wondered what was happening.

Before he was found wandering the fields, he was hacking at sand when his ball came to rest in a bunker. According to an insider, he suffered bad luck from the start of the game.

Daily Mail reported he kept hitting the ball out of bounds and getting it caught in bunkers. “Hitting trees, can’t get out of bunkers,” one fan had said.

One insider claimed to the publication: “Beckham was not in a good mood the entire game, it seemed like.”

It comes as Brooklyn issued a sweet remark to his wife, Nicola Peltz, amid his family fallout. He continues to shun his parents and siblings as he gets on with his life stateside.

And while the Beckham clan may be in turmoil, he continues to share his strong bond to his wife. Last month the duo renewed their wedding vows in New York’s Westchester County – without his parents or brothers Romeo, Cruz, and sister Harper – being present.

But despite the distance between his blood relatives, Brooklyn, 26, has sent a loving message about his wife, 32. He gushed over Nicola’s “supportive” way.

Speaking to the publication, Brooklyn said: “There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”

It’s far from the first time Brooklyn’s words could be seen as a subtle dig at his family.

While he has shunned any milestone events, including his dad’s 50th birthday, he has also avoided publicly praising them on any special occasions.
