The evenings are drawing in, big coats are flying out of the attic, and Halloween-related merchandise is rife in supermarkets.

Who were your standout performers in 2025 despite the fact that we are in the wane of another County Championship cricket season?

Will you choose Nottinghamshire’s opening duo of Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater with the title in hand for the final round of games?

Could Rehan Ahmed or James Coles join the team as your all-rounder? Will Jamie Porter or Kyle Abbott find favor as a pace option?

We will compile all the votes before publishing the overall 2025 team later in the week. Pick your XI from the players listed below.

Here are the teams that have been chosen for the past two seasons just to get things moving:

Rory Burns (Surrey), Alex Davies (Warwickshire), Colin Ingram (Glamorgan), David Bedingham (Durham), Jordan Cox (Essex), James Bracey (Gloucestershire), Liam Dawson (Hampshire), Jack Carson (Sussex), Dan Worrall (Surrey), Jamie Porter (Essex), and Ben Coad (Yorkshire) in 2024.

Alex Lees (Durham), Jake Libby (Worcestershire), Josh Bohannon (Lancashire), Tom Westley (Essex), James Rew (Somerset), Leus du Plooy (Hampshire), Simon Harmer (Essex), Jordan Clark (Surrey), Brett Hutton (Nottinghamshire), and Jamie Porter (Essex) are the 2023 members.

One wicketkeeper, one all-rounder, one spinner, three middle-order batters, one seam bowler, and two openers are required for a team.

To be included on our shortlist, players had to have played at least six games this season, and all statistics were accurate up to Saturday, September 20.
