Commuters Stranded As Fallen Containers Paralyse Movement On Lagos-Ibadan Road
As two fallen containers blocked the ever-busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving commuters out of Lagos, the country’s economic hub, were stranded on Thursday afternoon.
The first incident occurred on the popular Kara Bridge at 10:50 am, and the second one occurred on the Long Bridge, both on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, at 2 pm.
According to Channels Television, hundreds of vehicles sat still as a result of the incidents.

At the time of filing this report, the gridlock had reached the well-known Otedola Bridge and had retreated to the Alapere neighborhood.
Ogun State Command’s Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson, Florence Okpe, reported to Channels Television that the command’s officers have begun clearance operations along with those of sister agencies’ representatives.
