Coleen Nolan’s chaotic love life as she splits from Michael Jones after three years

TV star Coleen Nolan, 59, has recently split from her latest boyfriend, and he’s being relegated to the same camp as her exes.

The Loose Women actress revealed her breakup with Michael Jones in February of this year. Coleen said that despite having a busy schedule, their relationship ended on good terms.

“We’ve decided that we would rather just stay friends, take it as a friendship”, Coleen said of the end of their relationship, which was sparked on Tinder back in 2021. She added, “It’s nothing to do with anyone else, it’s nobody’s fault. However, I’m extremely busy, and I spend much of my time on the farm when I’m not so busy with work. Who knows, but we still get along great and hope to keep getting friends?

When Coleen spoke to OK!, she reiterated her calm opinion of the breakup. this week, and divulged: “We’ve decided that we would rather just stay friends, take it as a friendship. And, you know, it’s nothing to do with anyone else, it’s nobody’s fault. However, I’m extremely busy, and I spend much of my time on the farm when I’m not so busy with work. Who knows, but we still get along great and hope to keep getting friends?

She added: “I’m not going to say it wasn’t sad, because of course it was. But I sincerely hope that we can remain friends once the sadness passes. I don’t regret any of it, it was fabulous. I think over the past three and a half years, we’ve helped each other grow, and Michael came along at the ideal time for me.

Although Coleen and Michael initially had a romantic relationship, it seems like this time might be over. Her assertion that they’ll still be pals, however, isn’t unusual. Coleen’s two ex-husbands are two of her best friends. The TV star was married to Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999, and then Ray Fensome from 2007 to 2018. She and Ray, the actor who stars in EastEnders, have two sons, and they have a younger daughter.

Coleen counts both of the men as her close confidants, and explained: “I think that comes from age and experience”. The presenter suggested that she wants to maintain a close but platonic relationship with Michael, saying, “I always choose to concentrate on the great times, not the sad ending. The last two years of both my marriages were probably horrendous, but equally, the 10 years before were fantastic, so I’d rather focus on that”, she said of her marriages.

Coleen’s home life and TV duties include more than just her dating life. The Lancashire native runs her own farm in Staffordshire with her daughter Ciara and her husband Max. Coleen has made it clear that she is leaving her pop star background and that she doesn’t have much time to spend dating in the small rural family.
