Manager Pep Guardiola believes that winning the Club World Cup will not make up for Manchester City’s disappointing season so far.

City won the Community Shield at the beginning of the campaign despite having won it for the first time in eight years.

In the FA Cup final, Crystal Palace stunned City as they finished third in the Premier League, fell short of the Champions League’s last 16 and finished third.

One of two English clubs competing in the redesigned Club World Cup in the United States is City, along with Chelsea.

Guardiola remarked repeatedly that the season was bad. It means that 70 teams were worse than us if you came in third in the Premier League to qualify for the Champions League.

We competed against a really good team in the FA Cup final at an extremely high level. The Champions League was a disappointment, and we did not do well there. It required a lot of handling.

“It won’t change that, but my goal isn’t to win the competition right now,” I said. We can stay longer while we’re here. The competition may be the biggest for the South American teams. It’s just a World Cup for European teams.

Vladimir Ivic, former manager of Al-Ain and former Watford player, once said, “You want to be the best version of yourself.”

We are trying our hardest.

Guardiola won this competition two years ago with Barcelona and helped City of Saudi Arabia defeat Fluminese 4-0.

Although continent-based teams can collect up to £97 million if they go all the way, there are still questions about how seriously European teams take this event.

Meanwhile, South American players and supporters have poured their passion into the tournament, filling stadiums with thousands of fans and creating a distinctive color and atmosphere.

The Spaniard praised his luck in managing this competition four times and winning four times.

What would happen in Brazil would be that there would be a carnival for a week with dancing and celebrations, but it would also be culturally significant for both Brazil and the rest of the world.

Guardiola does not forbid leavings.

Guardiola has once more stated that a smaller squad is necessary for the upcoming season, saying he would “quit” unless the playing staff was cut. He previously joked at the end of the previous campaign.

Mateo Kovacic is injured, James McAtee was not chosen, and City have a 27-man touring party for the Club World Cup.

German international Ilkay Gundogan has been linked with a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray.

We currently have a long squad, too many players, so we can’t choose to have 26, 27 players this year because there won’t be as many [playing] and some players will move incrementally. However, Ilkay and the team are inseparably connected to both me and at this point.

“I would love to have the players we have been using all season. It would be wonderful to me. I have no complaints about the players’ behavior.

They will be unhappy throughout the season, he added. They will experience disappointment and sadness. That’s not what I want. It’s not a problem for me.

“I have more players to choose from [my] home base, and I don’t want] six or seven players, if there are no injuries.” So I continue doing it. For them, I do that.
