Club apologises after minute’s silence held for ex-player who is still alive

A former player was observed in a moment’s silence before being discovered by a top-flight Bulgarian team, and the team apologised.

Before Sunday’s league game against Levski Sofia, Arda Kardzhali and Levski Sofia gathered in the center circle and raised their heads in honor of Petko Ganchev.

However, Arda claimed to have been misinformed before the game was over on Facebook.

After receiving inaccurate information about Petko Ganchev’s death, the club wrote to his family, “The management of PFC Arda would like to sincerely apologize.”
