In a year’s worth of work, Claudia Winkleman’s starting salary was already incredible, almost double what she had earned.
The Traitors actress continues to own shares in Little Owl Productions, and its most recent accounts were filed with Companies House just days ago as Claudia’s career amounted to a record-breaking year.
The Little Owl Productions accounts cover the entire fiscal year that ended in April 2024, with the balance of nearly £1.6 million in total equity after tax and creditor payments, compared to the previous year’s cash reserves, which were already at a respectable £1.2 million at the start of the records.
The final episode of the third season of Claudia’s BBC series has attracted 1.6 million more viewers than the season finale, which Claudia has recently achieved.
The final episode of the show was reportedly watched live by an “average audience of 7.4 million” on the night it premiered, making it the show’s most watched episode ever. Meanwhile, a further 4.8million people tuned into the aftershow, The Traitors: Uncloaked, which aired straight after the finale.
Claudia is now associated with The Traitors, but she revealed last month that she initially declined because she was concerned that Highlands filming wouldn’t fit in with her Highlands lifestyle.
On Gabby Logan’s podcast The Mid Point, Claudia explained, “I initially turned down The Traitors, because I don’t like leaving my bed or the kids, and they said, “Would you go to Scotland for three and a half weeks?” And I was like, ‘ I don’t think so. ‘ And then I watched the Dutch version. I became so obsessed, I sent an email to Kate Phillips – who offered me the job, works at the BBC – saying, ‘ I booked a train, I want to do this more than anything. ‘”
Claudia has been a part of Strictly Come Dancing since 2010 alongside Tess Daly along with The Traitors. After reports that their contracts were coming to an end and concerns that other broadcasters may offer lucrative deals, the duo recently expressed concern that they wouldn’t return later this year.
Thankfully, TV insiders have claimed that new contracts have cemented Tess and Claudia’s dedication to the show and will stay on after being offered an “enhanced” contract by Strictly bosses.
As a bonus to Graham’s busy schedules when he’s away doing his live theatre tour in Australia next month, Claudia has also been confirmed to stand-in on Graham Norton’s chat show for the first time.
Claudia was a guest on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month, and Graham thanked her for the coverage she promised to provide. Although it is unknown who Claudia’s guests will be on February 28, this will likely be some incredible stars, as a result. The following week, Graham will host a compilation show, and Graham will return with a completely new run in September.
