Chelsea are interested in signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for a seven-year deal.

The 20-year-old is reportedly open to moving to Stamford Bridge despite ongoing discussions over personal terms, though a fee has not yet been agreed between the two clubs.

Dortmund wants to hold out for more than $ 40 million, despite the Blues’ $ 30 million deposit.

After signing striker Liam Delap from Ipswich, Chelsea are not in a rush to make a deal for the England Under-21 international with other targets on the market.

If there isn’t enough progress in the pipeline, they might wait until after the upcoming Club World Cup, which includes both Chelsea and Dortmund.

Gittens left Manchester City’s youth before joining Dortmund in 2020.

He made his Bundesliga debut two years later, and he made 32 league starts last year.

However, he does not fit into Dortmund’s Niko Kovac, who made the move in February.
