Celtic vs. Hearts in the Scottish Premiership
Glasgow’s Celtic Park Date: Sunday, December 7th, 2015 GMT
Wilfried Nancy thinks he has an “excellent team” at Celtic that needs to have “someplace to believe in themselves.”
The Frenchman, 48, will take charge of Hearts on Sunday (15:00 GMT), the reigning Scottish Premiership champions, for the first time.
He succeeds Brendan Rodgers, the last permanent manager in charge, and interim boss Martin O’Neill, who took over on Wednesday and the last of his eight games in charge.
With a game in hand before a Europa League game against Roma on Thursday, Celtic would be three points clear of Hearts.
“It’s also my job to challenge them to be the best team members.”
They have a lot more faith in themselves, even though it is a] quality team, quality players. We have players who can play various positions, which gives them tactical flexibility. For me, having players who play at least two positions is crucial.
We don’t play against the team’s name; instead, we play against a style of play. The gameplay of Roma differs from Hearts’. We are aware of what is in front of us. We are aware of our goals.
After four more league games, Nancy’s dazzling start at Celtic will come to an end next Sunday when he plays in the Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren. His first encounter with city rival Rangers will take place on January 3rd.
When the former head coach of the Columbus Crew and CF Montreal inquired about the January transfer window, he claimed there was a “profile we need.”
He explained that the goal of each organization is to “improve.”
I’ll need to assess the team,” he said. Because I’ve seen a lot of games, I know them as a team. It’s now important to get to know them personally. After that, we’ll decide which strategy works best for the team.
I enjoy taking my time. I am aware of how little time I have available.
