One expert wants to know why The Chase’s Mark Labbett is on Celebs Go Dating and as the new celebs begin filming in Ibiza, he wants to know why he’s there.
The Chase star Mark Labbett has joined the cast of Celebs Go Dating and expert Dr Tara is curious as to why he wanted to join the show.
Last week, E4 announced the star-studded cast were heading to Ibiza to kick off the show in an exciting twist. Joining Mark in the line-up will be Atomic Kitten legend Kerry Katona, Too Hot To Handle’s Louis Russell, Love Island All Stars’ Olivia Hawkins, and S Club 7 star Jon Lee.
After a difficult five years in relationships, Mark made his first appearance on the show. Mark and Katie, both of whom had been married, split up in 2020. The ITV star split from his girlfriend Hayley Palmer last year, sparking yet another well-known divorce.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror about Mark’s situation, resident sexpert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn said: “It’s difficult to be at that age, newly single and out of practice with dating for a long time.
We’ll learn much more about his true intentions once we begin working with him more. since I have no idea why he’s here! Dr. Tara exclaimed.
He is a very well-established member of society. He may be introduced to any woman who qualifies. Why do you work for the agency, then? She said, “I would love to research that a lot.”
In 2020, Mark discovered that his wife Katie had been having an affair and was secretly seeing design engineer Scott Bate. Speaking to the Mail at the time, The Beast revealed: “When Katie first came clean to me about her boyfriend, I’d had an inkling.”
The couple, who live together and have a son, reportedly tried to keep their marriage private, but the TV star decided to step in and let Katie’s relationship with Scott flourish.
In 2023, Mark went public with his new girlfriend, TV presenter Hayley Palmer. However, the ITV quizmaster ended the relationship, just after they had celebrated their one-year anniversary.
When Mark and The Sun spoke about their unexpected split, Mark cited his age as the cause and admitted, “I got old. It’s me. He continued, “She’s [Hayley’s] a lovely lady, and I was very lucky to date her for a year, and I’ve got old, as I’ve already said. I’m not arguing that there won’t be another one since Hayley, for there hasn’t been one since then. But I’m not looking, by all means.
