Claudia Winkleman wore this gorgeous party season little black dress on The Traitors

With her most recent Celebrity Traitors look, which is still available in all sizes, Claudia Winkleman has demonstrated that the little black dress never goes out of style.

If you’re anything like us, you’re eagerly awaited the recognizable outfit Claudia Winkleman will wear on The Traitors in. Additionally, a new look is added for another Celebrity episode.

Claudia snagged a momentarily from her traditional tartan, chunky knits, and maxi dresses for a party-ready lace mini dress at the round table last night. Sinead McKFreey styled Claudia in the Lydia Black Dress from celebrity-loved label Nadine Merabi, of course, keeping with her customary gothic vibe.

The £395 dress is expensive but significantly less expensive than other Prada and Burberry styles that have previously been worn on the show. Surprisingly, the Nadine Merabi website still has the mini in all sizes in stock.

Claudia layered a black turtleneck underneath the dress, black tights, and chunky black boots, which is most likely her signature Traitors style.

Rosie Ramsey will still use this £2 liquid blush when she’s 95 because she adores it so much.

A Zara coat that is still available is Claudia Winkleman’s “best ever” Traitors look.

This isn’t the first time Claudia has worn a number from the British-Lebanese designer. Over the past few years, the presenter has worn a variety of Nadine Merabi dresses and jumpsuits when presenting Strictly Come Dancing, so it’s no surprise to see her leaning on one of her trusty favourites again.

The lace mini dress is pricey at almost £400. We’ve rounded up some affordable alternatives for Traitors fans to choose from since it’s the ideal party season look.

RSF drones target Sudan’s Khartoum in fourth day of sustained attacks

As the government-aligned Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) tries to resume air traffic after regaining control of the city several months ago, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been using drones to target Sudan’s capital Khartoum and its main airport for a fourth day in a row.

Residents who live close to the Khartoum International Airport reported to Al Jazeera that drones and surface-to-air missiles were audible above the capital before loud explosions started to sound.

The extent of the damage and whether the capital’s main airport was successfully struck are unknown.

The airport was scheduled to open its doors on Tuesday, one day before the airport’s fourth consecutive day of attacks, which came after at least two years of hostilities.

A single plane operated by the nearby Badr Airlines made an afghan landing on Wednesday, before a local airport official informed AFP on condition of anonymity that the airport’s reopening has been postponed “under further notice” due to incoming attacks.

According to Al Jazeera’s Hiba Morgan, who is based in Khartoum, “there are concerns that this will not happen, despite authorities saying that operations are scheduled to begin on October 26.”

The war, which began in April 2023, has caused the most human-caused humanitarian crisis in the world, killing tens of thousands of people and displaced about 12 million more.

Return to Khartoum

In March, the Sudanese military retakes the city from the paramilitary force. Residents have since attempted to go back to their homes, frequently finding them destroyed.

The walls and ceilings of Alfatih Bashir’s Omdurman home, which he constructed with all of his savings, have collapsed. Bashir claimed to have constructed it while working abroad, not knowing how much money was left over to repair the damage.

“I’m just sitting quietly with my wife and two kids, not working.” Sometimes, we only have enough food to last. How do I even begin rebuilding?” he stated.

Authorities are still assessing the number of homes that have been damaged in the conflict, but the RSF and the military have left scars all over the city.

Afaf Khamed, a different resident, claimed she saw the extent of the damage and quipped, “I saw it go away.”

“We were born here, where all of our family members were married,” the statement read. She told Al Jazeera, “My sister and I now live here, and we can’t rebuild because we don’t have anyone to assist us.”

Reconstruction is a challenge for those who have worked during the war because the local currency is now in decline. The Sudanese pound increased from 600 to the US dollar in April 2023, when the conflict first started, to 3,500 pounds, despite salaries remaining stable.

The war-torn nation’s ability to support reconstruction is also hampered by poor transportation. Mohammed Ali, the owner of the store, claimed that because of security checks, materials take too long to arrive. In consequence, he claimed, “fewer and fewer people are purchasing building materials.”

EFCC Recovered Over ₦566bn, 1,500 Assets In Two Years, Says Olukoyede

Ola Olukoyede, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) executive chairman, claims that the commission has made unprecedented progress in the last two years.

Olukoyede disclosed the information on Thursday in Abuja during a press conference to celebrate his second year in office.

Between October 2023 and September 2025, he stated, “The EFCC has recovered more than 566 billion, several foreign currencies, and more than 1, 500 non-monetary assets.”

The EFCC Chairman, represented by the Director of Public Affairs, Commander of the EFCC, CE Wilson Uwujaren, said the Commission recovered ₦566, 319, 820, 343.40, $411, 566, 192.32, £71, 306.25, and €182, 877.10 during the period.

He claimed that the Commission had filed 10, 525 cases from more than 9, 000 petitions and 29, 240 investigations, which resulted in 7, 503 convictions.

Olukoyede referred to the accomplishments as concrete evidence of the EFCC’s renewed commitment to combating economic and financial crimes worldwide.

He revealed that the Commission recovered 1, 502 non-monetary assets, including 402 properties in 2023, 975 in 2024, and 125 so far in 2025.

He stated that the forfeiture of Nok University, now the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Abuja, and the final forfeiture of 753 duplexes in Lokogoma, Abuja, are two notable landmarks.

According to EFCC policy, some recovered properties have been given to government agencies for use as offices.

The anti-graft agency’s director revealed that there were 100 billion dollars invested in key national initiatives, including the Students Loan Scheme and Consumer Credit Scheme.

He claimed that the initiative supports the federal government’s goal of providing affordable credit access and education to citizens.

Additionally, the EFCC Chairman gave a list of numerous well-known criminal cases that were handled during that time.

Former governors Willie Obiano, Abdulfatah Ahmed, Darius Ishaku, Theodore Orji, Yahaya Bello, and former ministers Olu Agunloye, Mamman Saleh, Hadi Sirika, Charles Ugwu, and former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele are among them.

Olukoyede further disclosed that the Commission detained 792 suspects in Lagos in connection with money laundering and cryptocurrency ringleaders, including 192 foreigners who were detained and charged with a criminal offense.

He said, “This development sent a clear message that Nigeria won’t allow its territory to become a haven for cybercriminals.”

He noted that Fred Ajudua, Haliru Bello Mohammed, former PDP Chairman Haliru Bello Mohammed, former NSA Sambo Dasuki, and former Ngozi Olojeme boss Ngozi Olojeme have all been the subjects of recent corruption cases brought to light by the EFCC.

Olukoyede also announced the establishment of a Task Force on Naira Abuse and Dollarization of the Economy, which, according to him, has made notable progress in sanitizing currency operations nationwide.

The Chairman of the EFCC emphasized that improving national welfare is a key component of the Commission’s recoveries as well as figures.

Five things to look out for in EFL: Clocks, parachutes and cold play

British Summer Time will end this weekend if I’m sorry to break it to you if I hadn’t looked out the window lately.

Nearly every EFL team will be almost a quarter of the way through its season by Sunday morning when the clocks turn back.

The upcoming five months of Bovril, bobble hats, and floodlit finishes will have a significant impact on who will advance and fall back when BST returns in March, despite the tables having been being prepared and giving fans a good idea of what the season may hold.

Failure to deploy parachutes

At the top of the betting for Championship promotion back in the summer, Ipswich Town, Southampton, and Leicester City were the three names.

In recent years, the transition from the EFL to the Premier League has become more of a revolving door, with all three teams having dropped out of the Championship after two straight seasons.

Two of the three top-flight teams that have been promoted have received parachute payments in each of the previous five seasons following a previous relegation.

However, two of those three teams, or Sheffield United, the only other Championship side receiving parachute payments this season, will need to find their feet fairly quickly if that pattern is to continue.

The teams that placed fifth, 10th, eighth, sixth, fourth, 18th, 21st, and 15th last season make up the current top eight.

The Blades did escape the drop-zone on Tuesday with a third victory in their first 11 games, but Saints only won once, the Tractor Boys three, and the Foxes four, making them the only relegated team to finish the weekend’s standings.

West Brom will visit Portman Road for lunchtime on Saturday at 12:30 BST, which Ipswich will do to kick off the program.

Town’s five-game unbeaten run at home was ended by Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat by newly promoted Charlton, with Kieran McKenna making seven changes from the side that lost 2-1 at Middlesbrough on Friday.

Leicester travel to Millwall (15:00 BST), where they have won one of their last seven games, while Saints have won just one of their last 10. They then travel to Blackburn (15:00 BST), trying to avoid the terrible shock of being dragged toward the drop zone.

It is important to note that Luton was the only relegated team that failed to return to the Premier League last year and that is now relegated to League One.

Only Cardiff in League One, one of the ten teams that have been relegated from the Premier League, Championship, and League One, currently occupies the top six spot.

Wilder aiming for a terrible run

Chris Wilder, pictured with his arms outstretched on the touchlineShutterstock

Five of the Blades’ previous seven Sheffield United managers will technically be on the touchline as the Blades travel to Deepdale on Friday (20:00 BST) to kick off the EFL weekend.

Between 2021 and 2023, Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom held the first position as interim boss before Slavisa Jokanovic’s 22-game winning streak, playing more than 100 games.

A certain Chris Wilder, who is now in charge after Ruben Selles’ even shorter, but bye year, was his predecessor, and also his eventual successor.

The pair have managed more than 400 league games as Blades bosses, but Friday’s meeting will mark the first time in nearly eight years that the Lilywhites are comfortably above the Blades in the table. Despite their slow start to the season, the visitors are still the favorites to win this one.

Leading scorers vs. the worst defense in L1

Alex Revell looks confused on the touchlineRex Features
As we approach the final games of October, League One’s top five teams are separated by just one point.

Cardiff beat Stevenage 1-0 to move up the rankings on Saturday, thanks to Boro’s 1-0 defeat at sixth-placed Lincoln, while the Bluebirds came from behind to defeat Reading.

The result of Alex Revell’s side’s second-place showing against the Imps will give hope to Saturday’s visitors Bradford, who are third on goal difference alone, with games in hand against Cardiff and Bradford, and two against AFC Wimbledon and Stockport in fourth and fifth.

The Bantams, who recently received promotion from League Two, have since moved up to the third tier, where they have been called ducks to water, and won one of their games last Saturday with a pulsating 2-2 derby draw against Barnsley.

In their seven games since August, Graham Alexander’s side have only managed seven points, all of which were won in Yorkshire derbies, with draws with Rotherham and the Tykes followed by defeats to Doncaster.

Boro have the league’s worst defense in League One with only nine goals conceded, but they have eight goals coming from their four away games outside of Yorkshire and are the division’s top scorers with 22 goals.

Push comes at it for Posh.

Darren Ferguson looks pensive on the touchlineRex Features

Another fierce battle is taking place at the other end of the League One table, between two rival teams that many people believe are likely to at least try to make the playoffs this year.

Blackpool have lost all six of their away matches this season, and they haven’t scored on the road since Ashley Fletcher’s goal after 22 minutes at Exeter on August 9.

The dramatic equalizer from Wycombe at Bloomfield Road on Saturday caused them to fall to rock bottom.

On Saturday (15:00 BST), they will attempt to break their duck when they travel to second-bottom Peterborough.

League Two in its own division

Paul Warne holds his hand up showing the number fiveRex Features

You just have to love a division like League Two, which is almost a third of the way through the season in the fourth tier.

Five of the top eight teams lost on Saturday, while five of the bottom seven came out on top, with only the bottom two facing defeat from lowly Barrow and Accrington, respectively.

What new chaos will Saturday bring with it?

Can lightning strike twice against Walsall, second-placed Swindon, and Paul Warne’s third-placed MK Dons (can lightning strike twice)? while the race is just off the pace, with Crewe hosting Grimsby, Salford welcoming Gillingham, and Notts County hosting Cambridge United.

The table will undoubtedly have a very different complexion after the final fortnight of matches, with the FA Cup first round starting in November, where six points separate the top ten and only nine are currently in the top 16.

On the BBC Sport website and app, live text coverage of Preston vs. Sheffield United will start the EFL game on Friday, October 24 and will continue until the entire program is available.

Stick or twist with Joao Pedro? The FPL talking point

Images courtesy of Getty

Joao Pedro of Chelsea ranks third in the Fantasy Premier League, trailing only Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

However, Joao Pedro’s form has stagnated while that talented pair is still producing.

In four of his previous games, the Brazilian has failed to make a comeback.

With Sunderland set to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, FPL expert Pras Singhal examines the arguments in favor and against moving forward in this regard.

The selling case

Pras Singhal’s goal output, which only produced two shots over the previous four Gameweeks and a whopping 0.07 xG, poses a deeper problem.

Without a strong striker, he is required to play minutes in the middle, which is inconsistent with his play, which relies heavily on attacking half spaces.

The case must continue.

Pras Singhal: Joao Pedro was suspended for Wednesday’s game against Ajax because of the late red card received in the Champions League against Benfica, so he is almost certain to start against Sunderland on Saturday.

Joao Pedro performed significantly better in the number 10 position when Marc Guiu was hired to lead the attack in Gameweek 8, and should that pattern continue, it will only increase the Brazilian’s ability to attack returns.

Chelsea will have some of the best games in store, including Sunderland at home, Tottenham away, Wolves at home, and Burnley at home, all of which have some goals in store.

Additionally, Mateta won’t be playing for Arsenal this week, making that week not ideal.
