How shinty mindset helped MacIntyre in Ryder Cup win

Bob MacIntyre acknowledges that his shine helped him stay in place when he initially anticipated losing the Ryder Cup for Europe last month.

The hosts fought back strongly on the final day to ensure the visitors’ victory in New York, but it appeared as though Europe would take the show.

The Cup looked increasingly likely to come down to the final match as MacIntyre was last out for the Europeans.

The world number eight addressed The Saturday Show on BBC Radio Scotland, saying, “It was horrible. Apart from your family, friends, and partners, there are no vice-captains or companions.

You think it’s your caddie and you who are opposed to America. There was so much blue on the board when I teed off, and I was anticipating that by the eighth grade, everything would be over.

“I got to eight or nine, and the main difference is that there is more red now than it is,” the author said. I thought, “This is tight now,” as the matches down the 18th continued to turn red. It appeared as though “it could come down to your match.”

On the 15th, I made up my mind that I would lose the Ryder Cup for us because I did not care.

“I missed a putt on 14 and thought the same thing in Rome: I’ve lost the Ryder Cup,” he declared.

However, MacIntyre was able to rely on a perspective he had picked up from his Oban-shinty upbringing.

What would I do in a shinty match when they scored a goal in the 80th minute to make it 1-0 up? ‘”, he said.

Major items are still on MacIntyre’s bucket list, but only a few are still important.

The 29-year-old acknowledged that he is on the verge of accomplishing everything he wants in the game despite having previously won Ryder Cup victories in both Europe and America.

He said, “To win two, one at home and one away, is what dreams are made of.” I have one more goal in golf to reach, and that is to win a major championship.

Then I can leave the golf game feeling as though I’ve accomplished everything I had intended to.

And MacIntyre again enjoyed a significant role in the festivities, as usual. He was a key player in the action as videos of the Team Europe bus started to appear on social media, along with another rendition of The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles” being recorded.

He recalled, “I wish I was on that bus again right now.” Some of the boys were flying before we even boarded the bus because their games had already ended.

“There was a little carnage going on that day,” said one witness. The journey home is always the best part of a win, especially when you’re on those buses, like in any sport, and when it’s an away game, especially since I’m from there, which are usually two and a half hours long.

Authorities accused a Chinese national who was already present in Georgia of bringing experts to Georgia to search for uranium throughout the nation.

According to authorities, the operation was co-ordinated by other criminal group members from China. The State Security Service said the perpetrators were “converging the details of the illegal transaction” and were being “identified and detained.”

The organization did not give the suspects’ identities or when the arrests took place.

According to authorities, members of the group planned to pay $400,000 for the radioactive material. They face charges that could result in ten-year prison sentences.

In recent years, Georgia has experienced a number of serious incidents involving the illicit trade of nuclear materials. One Georgian and one Turkish national were detained in Georgia in July and are facing charges of making a bomb with the unlawful purchase, possession, and disposal of radioactive materials.

After the Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991, which Georgia was a part of, one of the biggest concerns was the security of leftover nuclear materials from the Soviet era. The Soviet Union became a lucrative breeding ground for smugglers after the government instituted its research.

Georgia reported having detained two people in 2019 for handling and trying to sell $2.8 million in uranium-238.

Indore, ICC Women’s World Cup

South Africa 97 (24 overs): Wolvaardt 31 (26), King 7-18

Australia 98-3 (16.5 overs): Mooney 42 (41), Kapp 1-11

Seven wickets later, Australia won.

As Australia defeated South Africa by seven wickets to set up a semifinal match against India, Alana King brought the best figures in women’s World Cup history.

The leg-spinner’s 7-18 from 7 overs saw Australia finish their chase with 199 balls after South Africa fell from 32-0 to 97 all out at the end of their 30-over series to lose 7-4.

In a women’s ODI, King broke New Zealand’s record of 6-10 against India in 1982, becoming just the third woman and the third Australian to do so.

Australia, who have won all six of their group matches, will now face fourth-placed India in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, October, with the victory in Indore putting them in the top spot in the table.

One of only three South African batsmen to score in double figures, Laura Wolvaardt, who struck seven boundaries in the opening six overs to give her side the perfect start before being taken for 31 by Megan Schutt, with King taking the catch at midwicket.

After Kim Garth’s final over of the powerplay, King struck twice in five balls to send South Africa’s score from 42-1 to 43-4.

As South Africa were bowled out for under 100 for the second time in the tournament after being skittled for 69 by semi-final rival England in their opener, Ash Gardner bowled Masabata Klaas.

King demonstrates how to leave the shadows

South Africa has previously experienced spin-based destruction. Left-arm spinner Linsey Smith claimed figures of 3-7 in their 10-wicket demolition of England, with Sophie Ecclestone and Charlie Dean each taking two wickets each.

Their collapse was caused by a King inspired performance on Saturday, which exposed weaknesses in bats in spin, first batting, and top-order errors.

Australia, in contrast, enters the semi-finals unbeaten and strengthened by the addition of yet another player who delivered a match-defining performance.

Sune Luus and Marizanne Kapp, who had rushed her to two wickets, attempted needlessly aggressive shots and dropped simple catches to fielders, but the rest of her spell was largely unlucky.

She took four wickets in a row and took 33 wickets in total from 42 deliveries.

Annerie Dercksen was undone by a flighted delivery in four of her seven wickets, and Sinalo Jafta, Masabata Klaas, and Nadine de Klerk all fell victim to the grip and turn she got off the ground.

The majority of her deliveries, including six of her seven wicket-taking balls, were either good or back of a length, relentless in her approach.

During Australia’s campaign, King had largely underseen the light. Her six wickets, which included economic but unremarkable in the middle overs, were overshadowed by Gardner and Annabel Sutherland’s all-round contributions.

But on Saturday, she repeatedly reminded everyone of the threat she poses in the middle overs, contributing to South Africa’s collapse, going from 42-2 to 97-all.

Strictly Come Dancing star shares true thoughts on show after ‘crying uncontrollably’

Sara Davies has opened up about what the show truly meant to her four years after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing with Aljaz Skorjanec.

Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies says Strictly Come Dancing has been “the biggest opportunity” of her life so far. The businesswoman competed on the 2021 series, alongside professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.

Sara’s dance career came to an end in week eight after being defeated by Tilly Ramsay in a dance-off, which brought her to tears.

Four years later, she told The Times: “I felt like it was the biggest opportunity of my life, and something purely for me.”

The 41-year-old’s recent comments come after she admitted to being “desperate” to get a spot on the program.

She previously told The Telegraph that she was determined to do that show. Literally, I hired an agent and declared, “My life’s goal is to get on Strictly.”

“And it wasn’t just because I wanted to dance with a sexy, hot man,” he said.

Aljaz, who is collaborating with RuPaul’s Drag Race star La Voix this year, and Sara and Aljaz have a close friendship.

The professional dancer supported the businesswoman when she “really struggled” to come to terms with her elimination from the BBC programme.

Sara admitted to “crying uncontrollably” in response to the judges’ decision, and compared Strictly to entering an”alternative universe.”

Two years after joining Dragons’ Den, the TV personality made an appearance on the program.

She made the announcement earlier this year that she had decided to concentrate on her own business, which she founded in 2005.

Posting on Instagram, Sara explained: “As a lot of you will know, I’ve taken up my position again as CEO of Crafter’s Companion and my business is my big priority this year.

“And I really commit when I work for a company,” says Dragons’ Den, which is a rewarding role.

Being a Dragon requires a lot of time and dedication as you join the lives of each business you invest in, in addition to filming an incredible show.

“It means ensuring that your investment is approved and that you are playing that role.” More than just a TV show, it’s a lot.

“I’ve made the decision to leave the Den for good and concentrate on my own business, which was my first child,” I thought. “.

She continued, saying that because of this commitment, she “won’t be filming the next series with the year this year.”

Sara won’t be departing the television world permanently though, as next year she’ll be appearing as a regular competitor on Gary Lineker’s fresh ITV game show, The Box.

Although she admitted that she is a competitive person, she remarked, “This is definitely outside my comfort zone.”

Strictly’s Gorka Marquez says ‘I’ll leave’ as Gemma Atkinson talks new addition

The professional dancer joked he would leave if they brought home another child earlier this year, but Gorka Marquez and Gemma Atkinson welcomed a new member to the family.

Gorka Marquez joked he would “leave” Gemma Atkinson if she welcomed a new addition into their household. Professional dancer Gorka and former soapstar Gemma met while appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2007.

The couple, who share two children together, recently welcomed goldendoodle Benji into their lives. It came after Gemma’s older dogs, Norman and Ollie, died last year.

On the couple’s Lost in Translation podcast, Gorka however revealed Benji had been jumping on the couple’s bed in the night, waking him up and landing in “painful” places. It prompted Gorka to issue a plea for Gemma to make Benji sleep downstairs or off the bed.

Gemma, however, made the announcement that she wants to adopt a new dog and that he should be slept in a different room. Gorka, who recently returned from a tour with fellow Strictly pro Karen Hauer, said: “Benji wasn’t really jumping on the bed, and I slept very badly because Benji kept me awake.”

Gemma, I told her, “We can’t keep having this, Benji can’t keep sleeping on the bed,” and she said, “Well you can go in the spare room.” That is what will happen, then.

Gemma joked that it was “love me, love my dog” situation. She continued, “Some couples do sleep in separate rooms, adding that this doesn’t imply that they” love one another any less.”

Gorka, who lives with Gemma and Mia and Thiago together, claims he recently went to check on their son at night only to discover that the dog had taken his place. The pooch was “living his best life” on the couple’s bed, Gemma claimed.

The former Hollyoaks actress went on to say that Benji is “like a little shadow.” She added: “Wait until we get another one.”

I’ll leave then, Gorka joked. If we could, Gemma said, “I would have four dogs. “

Gorka continued to say that he enjoyed the dog. He said, “He needs to go down, but I love him.” Although I do love him dearly, I still think that you are my dog and my pet, and you either sleep on the floor or downstairs.

Gemma claims to see the dog as a “best friend and companion” but is not. She claims that she “cracks on” the dog and allows him to do whatever he wants.

When Gemma and Aljakorjanec first appeared on Strictly in 2017, the former model duo teamed up.

She came in second place behind Debbie McGee, Gorka, Alexandra Burke, and Giovanni Pernice. The series was won by Katya Jones and Joe McFadden.
