Strictly’s Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly emotional as they address shock exit

As Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman discussed their decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing, people were emotional. The duo announced on Thursday morning that they would both leave the current series and join the BBC.

And they shared their emotions as they opened the first show since making their joint statement. They thanked the fans for their continued support as they announced icons week.

We have eight weeks to air this incredible show, Claudia said, “We want to thank you for your beautiful messages.”
Tess then stated, “We can’t wait to spend the rest of the show with you, our amazing couples, and of course, these four. We can’t wait to have these judges.”

Fans were quick to express their emotions online. One user wrote, “Eye, claud leaving, every time,” along with two broken hearts emojis, on Twitter/X. Another person remarked, “Tess and Claudia’s reception tonight is so well deserved, just like it has been every single week for the years they’ve done it together, and both of them talking about their departure #Strictly.

Claudia and Tess opened the show with an announcement
An announcement (BBC) was made by Claudia and Tess to begin the program.

Since 2010, Tess has been presenting alongside the late Sir Bruce Forsyth, and Claudia has been the show’s face since 2010. They stated in a statement on Thursday that “we have loved working as a duo, and hosting Strictly has been a dream.

We were always going to leave together, but now it seems appropriate to do so. We just want to say a huge thank you to the BBC and to everyone who volunteers for the show so that we can watch it for the longest while it lasts.

“We’ll miss them every day because they’re the most brilliant team.” When we say the final, “keep dancing,” we will cry, but we’ll keep saying it to one another. Just possibly while eating some pizza while wearing tracksuit bottoms at home.

Stars from the past and present praised their announcement in the comments section of their Instagram post. Amy Dowden, who wrote: “Nooooo, absolutely gutted! Our stunning, regal reins!

Thank you for bringing so much joy, elegance, fun, and pure brilliant entertainment to the country from being a fan for these past 21 years to joining the show! I appreciate it! I’m so sorry for you both! “Welsh love you always xxxx”

Bowing down to you two Queens, AJ Odudu responded as well. I adore you both Legends.

Numerous names have been linked to taking over their positions since making their choice. LadBaby Mark Hoyle and his wife Roxanne are two of the fans who have requested them.

Fans commented on the pair’s Facebook post after their performance at the Pride of Britain Awards. One user wrote, “These two stunning people are my pick for the new hosts to replace Claudia on strictly. “

A second later reacted with, “Wow, this was brilliant, you two are amazing, you two presented this like real professionals, you both need to be grabbed up for your own show.”

Kebbi PDP Rejects Turaki’s Adoption As Northern Consensus Candidate

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s (PDP) Kebbi State Chapter) has distanced itself from Kabiru Turaki’s nomination as the party’s candidate for the northernmost seat.

Shortly after a Saturday emergency meeting in Birnin Kebbi, the state chapter made the announcement.

The chapter reaffirmed its commitment to the North-West’s position in a communiqué read by its Publicity Secretary, Sani Dododo.

It stated that the PDP governors’ decision to support Turaki had not been supported by the state chapter and was therefore rejected.

“Kabiru Tanimu has never spoken to the party’s Kebbi State chapter about his contest plans. He has not participated in any of the party’s activities in the state, according to Dododo.

Kabiru Tanimu visited Kebbi to ask for support or consult any party elder or stakeholder at no time, he continued.

Right to nominate

The state chairman added that the Kebbi PDP was unanimous in its support of the party’s position that each state should have the authority to deliberate and choose a qualified candidate to represent the area in accordance with the party’s zoning laws.

Therefore, the Kebbi State chapter expressly rejects the former Minister of Special Duties’ choice as the party’s preferred candidate.

Governors who were chosen on the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) platform meet with party leaders in Abuja’s Bauchi governor’s lodge.

The former Minister of Special Duties had endorsed him as the party’s preferred nominee for the chairmanship position at its upcoming national elective convention, which is set to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Umar Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, stated to journalists following a closed-door meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday that the decision did not prevent any interested candidates from running for the position.

Following the meeting, the governors of Adamawa, Bauchi, Zamfara, and Plateau States, former senators Abba Moro, Umar Damagum, the PDP national chairman, and other party leaders from the North, all came together to reach a consensus candidate resolution.

Roman Kemp admits ‘I feel a bit lost’ as he opens up about ‘worries’

Roman Kemp has always been open about how he has battled mental illness.

Roman Kemp admits he feels “a bit lost” as he sought out hypnotherapy to address his “worries”. The One Show star even found himself “questioning fame” before he went to speak to his therapist.

Roman, 32, has previously been open about how therapy “saved his life” after admitting he has struggled with depression and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) during his life. He has even discussed his struggles with mental health with close friend and popstar Ed Sheeran.

He claimed, “Ed told me that the top has a lot of dirty water that gradually turns into clear water.” The water becomes clearer as I talk about my feelings more frequently.

Roman, who had struggled in recent weeks as well, was assisted by another popular artist. He claims that he had a Wham! vision while being hypnotized. George Michael urged him to “look after” his family.

The Careless Whisper singer’s parents, Martin and Shirlie Kemp, were close friends. Shirley regularly performed as a backing singer for George and Andrew Ridgeley, along with Dee C. Lee.

On his You About page? Roman, a singer, said in a podcast interview that he felt “a little lost right” as he reportedly “took a mild hypnotherapy” to explain where he is now and why he doesn’t care about certain things anymore.

“I was questioning fame and whether or not I want to do this anymore and all those types of things. Like, why don’t I just stop and walk away and then George Michael came in my face, which was weird.

He looked at me and said, “Ro, just remember, none of this matters.” He stated that you are the only ones who need to care for your family: Harley, your dad, and your mother. That’s all I care about, I thought.

Roman spearheaded the BBC3 documentary Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency, which examined mental health, in 2021. Joe Lyons, a producer for Capital Radio, passed away, and this was the catalyst for this.

The former Capital Breakfast host said at the time, “I’m still thinking about his passing.” I’m back in the worst situation I’ve ever been in my life every time I step back into the Capital studios. I constantly have flashbacks.

Roman claims to have used medication to treat his depression throughout his life. He continued, “I’ve always regulated it fairly well by taking tablets and antidepressants.

Roman will be among the celebrities appearing on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel from 8.20pm on BBC One. He will be starring alongside the likes of Susan Wokoma, Layton Williams, Katherine Ryan, Jill Scott, Joe Marler, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith.

Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy reveals what cosmetic procedures she’s had done

Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, has revealed the full list of cosmetic procedures she’s undergone over the years.

Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has finally revealed the full list of cosmetic procedures she’s had done to her face and body. The 26-year-old took to her Instagram page this week, where she opened up to her fans about her procedures.

As the actress explained her changes to her, she appeared as stunning as ever. She continued, citing breast augmentation, lip, cheek, and chin filler, Botox on her forehead, crow’s feet, and lip, as well.

Kate said she “hates when people lie” about the treatments they’ve had, and that she shared before-and-after photos of her nose job.

She continued, “I wanted to come on here and discuss the things that are fake about me; I’m talking about appearances and looks.” I bring up this topic once more because of 1. I detest when people tell lies about what they have done and 2. I was asked why I looked different in my ID photo while dining the other day.

I don’t think it’s that much, but who cares, to be honest, I really haven’t had that much done. My nose was the thing that made me look the most obvious. “Botox on my forehead, Botox here [pointing to her crow’s feet], lips, cheeks, chin, and Botox obviously,” she says.

She continued, “I have 400CC over the muscle because I had to begin with a moderate profile, and the only thing I have had done is the girls’ [breast augmentation].” Before I started getting my nose job, which was about two years ago, I actually had to have all of my filler removed.

The caption for Kate’s post read, “Every time, I’m open to post more before pictures too!” Following Liam Payne’s death, Kate is said to be ready to find love once more.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, Liam fell from a hotel balcony in 2024, killing him. Alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant were discovered in his system shortly after, according to a toxicology report.

Kate is beginning to move on by returning to dating and hanging out with friends once more, according to a source who spoke to The Daily Mail.

She’s hanging out with friends and is open to dating once more, even though she is not yet fully committed to it. She was definitely not okay at one point, but she is now getting better.

There were “months” where Kate didn’t even smile, they continued. According to the source, “I was seeing her every day, and there were months where I literally didn’t see her smile.” She didn’t even seem like herself because it was so troubling. She abruptly ended many hangouts and appeared to be almost recluse.

On her Instagram account, Kate frequently discusses her feelings for Liam, and she frequently shares tributes about his passing this month, one year after his death.

Error-prone England suffer Ashes ‘torture’ at Wembley

When a head coach refers to a global match between his team as “torture,” it’s never a good sign.

After watching his country suffer a crushing 26-6 defeat by Australia at Wembley in the first Ashes game in 22 years, Shaun Wane was clearly struggling.

It could have been much worse, in fact. Australia started slowly and had only eight points at half-time, but England wasted chances and committed simple errors in the second half.

If Australia defeats England at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on Saturday, Australia will retain the Ashes title. They are still in second gear.

Wane addressed his players’ media conference after the game, “They are very disappointed in the dressing room.” We sold ourselves today, but I really wanted to see our players’ best efforts. For me, that is torture.

The first actions of the respective fullbacks in the second half demonstrated the quality gap between the sides.

Reece Walsh, who won the match, slipped past England’s much-awaited scrum-half Mikey Lewis, who had thrown the ball 80 meters. The ground gained gave Australia the opportunity to score a stunning second try of the match, despite England’s initial resistance.

Former England international James Graham reported to BBC One, “Reece Walsh has saved two tries and scored two goals. Let’s not forget the incident that set the tone in the opening period of the second half.

Second row Angus Crichton evaded England full back Jack Welsby for the try that came out of that break.

Welsby was omitted from the conversation in favor of Walsh, who was more forward-thinking. When he made a limp tackle on Crichton’s man, it was far too late, he backed off until his heels were on the try line.

Being outnumbered by the world’s top international team, clear favorites for this series, and outnumbered by Wane was what tortured him the most.

He said, “I am aware of what these players can do, but we didn’t give ourselves a chance to win.” We didn’t put our best show on today, which hurts a lot. There are simple fixes for what we did wrong.

Australia “anticipates improvement.”

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

Before England’s debut against Everton’s new stadium on Saturday, changes are certain to be made. Welsby could start AJ Brimson at full back, and Harry Smith, who is typically George Williams’ captain’s main defender, could also start.

Williams and Lewis of the Super League Grand Finale both had good kicking skills, but they were bad at it. It will need urgent improvement given that England’s clearest openings in the first half were made through grubber kicks.

All of this is unrecognisable, given that England’s original man of steel, Jake Connor, was drafted into the England squad for this series. Wane made a significant decision, and it will continue to be done as the series develops.

Australia’s situation was normal. Since 2006, when Brian Noble’s side won a Tri-Nations contest in Sydney, they have not lost to an English team since 1995.

Australia will consider significantly extending its 66-year-old, unbeaten Test series record to include the UK.

Coach Kevin Walters claims that the best is yet to come.

We expect us to improve, and the English side will, according to Walters in his post-game press conference. Our defense was effective, which is more satisfying to me than anything.

There is no “relief.” As coach of this side, I am in a strong position. You can trust these men. They handled the pressure well, and they’ll move on to the next week.

Isaah Yeo, the captain, will miss the weekend after suffering a category one head injury in the first half following a fight with Dom Young, which is Walters’ only negative.

Legend Golovkin to run for World Boxing presidency

Gennady Golovkin, the legendary boxer, will run for president of World Boxing in an effort to safeguard the future of the sport.

Following the removal of the International Boxing Association (IBA) from the Olympic movement, boxing was initially excluded from the Los Angeles 2028 program.

World Boxing, a new federation established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), secured boxing’s place at LA 2028, and restored the sport’s Olympic standing.

With your support, Golovkin, 43, pledges to ensure that every federation, coach, and athlete has a fair chance to grow and secures boxing’s Olympic future, restores global confidence, and ensures that no matter how small or far away it may be,

Kazakhstan’s Golovkin, a silver medalist at the Olympics, is widely regarded as one of his generation’s fiercest competitors. He also won the middleweight title.

He hasn’t fought since September 2022 when he lost the third fight in his trilogy to Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, despite being formally retired.

After suspending the IBA in 2019 due to concerns about governance, finances, refereeing, and ethical issues, the IOC organized boxing for the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics.

Boris van der Vorst, the current world boxing president, will step down after confirming that he won’t seek a second term during the election in Rome on November 23.

Our goal for 2026 is simple: to win full IOC recognition and secure our spot in Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032, Golovkin continued.

Beyond recognition, however, lies a bigger goal: to reaffirm our standing as a united boxing family, guided by respect, transparency, and unity.

Mariolis Charilaos, who oversaw significant governance changes and led the Hellenic Boxing Federation from 2021 to 2025, is Golovkin’s challenger.

According to Charilaos, “boxing was one of the first Olympic sports to be born in Greece.”
