Trump calls on Russia and Ukraine to freeze war at current battle lines

Russian and Ukrainian president Donald Trump has proposed that Moscow retain significant portions of Ukrainian territory in exchange for a freeze in the conflict along current battle lines.

Late on Sunday, Trump told reporters that the two parties should simply stop fighting and resolve “details” in upcoming discussions. The Donbass region, a hub for industrial activity, is where the current front line is.

The US president said, “They should stop right now at the battle lines, go home, stop killing people, and be done,” adding that negotiations over a final resolution would be difficult to reach.

When asked what would happen to Donbas, which has seen the most fighting, Trump responded, “Let it be cut the way it is. It is currently being cut up; in my opinion, Russia has already seized 78 percent of the land. You leave it as is at this moment. Later on, they can bargain something.”

Ukraine has previously urged that all of its land be reclaimed. Trump himself claimed last month that Ukraine has the ability to win militarily and retake all of Russia’s territories, including the Crimean Peninsula and other areas of eastern Ukraine.

In Hungary in the upcoming weeks, the US president will meet with Vladimir Putin, the country’s president, who had promised to put an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump said last week at the White House that “if flexibility is shown, there is a chance to resolve the conflict quickly” when he hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy urged Trump to put more pressure on Putin on Sunday, referring to Hamas as the Palestinian leader.

Zelenskyy told NBC News that Putin is “somewhat more powerful than Hamas.”

The Ukrainian president made the suggestion last week that the Trump-brokered ceasefire in Gaza provided “momentum” to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also reiterated his request for long-range Tomahawk missiles from the US to Ukraine. Zelenskyy conceded that Trump did not agree with the request, but he also did not reject it.

Trump made the recent suggestion that the US should maintain its Tomahawk stockpiles in order to protect its own national security interests.

The US provided unwavering support to Ukraine under former president Joe Biden, providing tens of billions of dollars in military, budget, and humanitarian aid.

Trump has, however, encouraged European nations to arm Kyiv by purchasing US weapons while cutting back on Ukrainian assistance.

In February 2022, Russia declared that NATO was expanding into former Soviet republics and that it had invaded Ukraine completely.

‘A little Magpie’ – why Mourinho ‘loves’ Newcastle

As he boarded the flight home from Madrid, Mark Robson was understandably a little anxious.

A Ballon d’Or award was required for Sir Bobby Robson’s son to recover his prized piece of hand luggage in perfect condition.

Jose Mourinho donated the gong for a 2011 charity auction in honor of his late mentor.

The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which aims to find more efficient ways to detect and treat cancer, received a further £26,000.

The gesture has never been forgotten by the family.

Jose did that with such great care,” Mark said. It “deeply demonstrates what he is like.”

As the Portuguese prepares to take his Benfica side to St James’ Park, it also demonstrates Mourinho’s unwavering love for Sir Bobby, who he worked as an interpreter and assistant for five years in the 1990s.

When Mourinho’s team faces Newcastle United in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Mourinho will be desperate to record just his fourth win on Tyneside.

As he travels to “Mr. Robson’s home” and dodges the bust of the former Newcastle manager in the players’ entrance, though, this will still be an emotional occasion.

Rather than just an interpreter

This was a time before the moniker “Special One” was used.

As he made his way through the 1992 arrivals, Sir Bobby was actually mobbed rather than Mourinho.

Sousa Cintra, the club president, was present for the former England manager’s arrival in Lisbon to take over Sporting.

Because the Portuguese could not speak English, he brought polyglot Mourinho along.

Sporting assistant Manuel Fernandes, who had previously worked with the young coach at Vitoria de Setubal and Estrela da Amadora, had recommended Mourinho.

The course of Mourinho’s life was altered by that moment.

On the training ground, Mourinho and Sir Bobby sat next to each other. He even accompanied him to meetings with the hierarchy and helped to spread his message to the players and the media.

With a 30-year age difference, the pair were quickly identified as a “good couple,” according to Sporting defender Stan Valckx.

Bobby and Mourinho exchanged briefings before the game to explain something, he said, and then Mourinho translated it into Portuguese. He said, “It took 10 minutes and there were a lot of emotions in what I was saying.

He was clearly much more than just an interpreter, he remarked. He had a lot of ambition and loyalty. He greatly assisted Bobby.

“His ears and eyes”

Later on, Sir Bobby would learn that he had been fired through Mourinho.

Even though Sporting may have been at the top of the league in December 1993, Cintra abruptly made the dramatic announcement on the team’s Austrian return.

Following his side’s exit from the Uefa Cup at Casino Salzburg, the club president announced in his native tongue that Sir Bobby would be fired.

However, Sir Bobby and Mourinho’s partnership continued to grow.

When Sir Bobby was offered the Porto job about a year later, he had, in all truth, spoken with Mourinho and brought his assistant along.

Jose was watching if something was said behind father’s back, according to Mark Robson.

He served as a sounding board, his eyes, ears, and ears. In those circumstances, you need a right-hander, and Ménuinho was that person.

He was able to handle it quietly and effectively because he was such a strong character even at that age.

Jose would spot any disruptors and deal with them, he said. The pudding has the proof, after all, and it obviously worked well.

Before Barcelona called in 1996, Sir Bobby won five Trophies at Porto, including two league titles.

“From Mr. Robson, I learned that love.”

At first, Barcelona’s leaders wanted a person with connections to the club as their assistant, but he insisted that Mourinho be the latter.

for a reason.

Following Johan Cruyff’s death, Sir Bobby needed someone who he could implicitly trust and could translate his message in another language. He was entering a divided club at the time.

By this point, Mourinho had long since changed.

On the training ground, he assisted. Sir Bobby praised his scouting dossiers as the best he had ever seen. He had a history of dealing with foreign players, obviously.

As midfielder Guillermo Amor explained, the pair complemented one another in a testing setting once more.

He claimed that they were able to create a positive atmosphere and form a formidable team.

Joe was more in touch with the players because of his fluency and age, both of whom were very similar to ours.

He praised Bobby and said, “He had great faith in everything Jose could do on the field and in the locker room.”

In what proved to be his final season with Mourinho, Sir Bobby won the Copa Del Rey, the European Cup Winners’ Cup, and the Spanish Cup before Louis van Gaal was appointed as the Barcelona manager.

After being already informed by van Gaal about the benefits of keeping his assistant, Mourinho told Sir Bobby he wanted to leave out of loyalty. However, his mentor persuaded him to stay.

The Portuguese could have followed Sir Bobby to Newcastle in 1999 if Mourinho had not spent three more years under van Gaal at the Nou Camp.

Instead, he chose to go it alone, but Sir Bobby continues to be influential.

Mourinho still remembers the occasions the two families spent in Sitges, the meals Sir Bobby never offered him, and the life lessons he was taught.

The 62-year-old describes himself as a “little Magpie” because of this.

Boulter’s poor run continues with first-round loss

Images courtesy of Getty

In the opening round of the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, British number three Katie Boulter lost straight sets to world number 44 Eva Lys.

Boulter, 29, was defeated by the 23-year-old German with a score of 6-2 6-1 in just one hour and 14 minutes.

After Emma Raducanu withdrew, ending her season early due to illness, she was the only British player in the main draw.

The Briton was only able to defeat Lys five times on her first serve, which gave her only 50% of the points.

The former world number 29 hasn’t advanced beyond the second round of a tournament since the Nottingham Open in June with this defeat.

Kelly Osbourne issues devastating tribute as family suffer loss after Ozzy’s death

Sharon Osbourne made it known that her family has been hit by yet another heartbreaking death just weeks after her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away.

Kelly Osbourne has shared a touching tribute alongside a message to her late dad, Ozzy Osbourne, as the family suffer another devastating loss. The TV star’s famous mum Sharon Osbourne revealed their beloved family dog Elvis had died this weekend.

Their loss came just weeks after Ozzy’s death in July this year aged 76, as they continue to grieve the Black Sabbath icon. Sharon has been receiving the support of their children, Jack, Aimee and Kelly, as they rallied around her as she took a step back from the spotlight.

Son Jack admitted she is “not okay” as she mourns the death of her husband of over 40 years. Now, the family are grieving their dog of 14 years Elvis, who Kelly said helped her “get through the darkest moment of her life”.

One of the pomsky’s tucked up in bed and another of Kelly and Elvis taking a selfie together were also shared by her. Kelly added that Kelly had to share the news to everyone that Elvis had passed away this week.

Our guardian has departed from us. Since my dad passed, Elvis hasn’t left. He assisted me through my life’s most difficult situation. The only thing I can think of to suggest a positive response to everything is that maybe my dad was in need.

“Life can be so cruel, but it also offers a lot of treasures.” Elvis and his family have been such a blessing for us. Thank you for Elvis’s unwavering, unconditional love. I’ll miss you until we get back together, sweet prince!

As she shared more images of Elvis on Sunday, Sharon had revealed the sad news. She wrote, “I can’t believe I’m posting this because my darling Elvis passed away this week. He gave me 14 priceless years. He remained with me until the very end. My sweet boy, rest in peace”!

Sharon shared four images of her dog, a mix of Siberian huskies and pomeranians, in her post. Ozzy and Elvis were seen laughing and snuggling up together in Elvis’ lap after the death of the Black Sabbath frontman.

Sharon was married to Ozzy from 1982 until his death in July. Jack recently shared an update on the X Factor icon as he shared: “She’s just trying to figure out where to go from here, how to navigate, what’s the new norm, what’s the new baseline, ‘What do I do without my person?’ But she’s got a lot of love and support around her.”

Kelly has also mentioned how her mother had a memory for Ozzy before he passed away. She claimed that the most heartbreaking aspect of the situation is “my mum’s.” And it’s really, really difficult for me to watch the man she loves most in this world.

Sharon even gave Ozzy credit for making sure he lived a long life. He acknowledged that I wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for Sharon Osbourne. Without a doubt, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am. Without it, I wouldn’t be sober. Without a doubt, I would be six feet under.

Because I didn’t consume any more alcohol or drugs than any of them, there must have been something wrong with everyone I used to do it with. I only had my Sharon with me.

Why Colts are real contenders as Denver defy odds

  • 9 Responses

The Denver Broncos staged the biggest of all comebacks while the Indianapolis Colts established themselves as real contenders for another pulsating NFL Sunday.

The New England Patriots’ revival and the Kansas City Chiefs’ resumption of business are both the Colts’ top league team, but there are also rivals from all sides.

    • last 12 hours

Why are the Colts a genuine contenders?

No denying that the Colts are the real deal right now, with Daniel Jones overcoming doubts about his explosive start to the season being a flash in the pan. They currently lead the NFL at 6-1 after defeating the Chargers 38-24 in Los Angeles.

Running back Jonathan Taylor has scored his third touchdown of the year, bringing his total to 11 in seven games.

With more than 33 points per game, Indianapolis has the star power to be among the league’s top scorers, and their main strength is how patient they are when they are in possession.

With their nine possessions, they recorded the league’s best points per drive, and against the Chargers, they scored five touchdowns and a field goal.

They are third-best at forcing turnovers (11) and are almost always successful when they don’t have the ball.

epic Denver comeback led by Nix

No doubting the week’s action as Bo Nix leads the Denver Broncos to a mind-blowing 33-32 victory over the unlucky New York Giants.

With Denver’s 33-point blitz the second-best in history, Nix became the first quarterback to have two passing and two rushing touchdowns in a fourth quarter despite being shutout 19-0 after three quarters.

With just 37 seconds left, impressive Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart scored his fourth total touchdown of the game, seemingly winning it.

It was flown by Eagles and Chiefs.

With a 28-22 victory over the Vikings, the Eagles’ 28-22 victory saw the reigning Super Bowl champions come out on top. Hurts finally opened up his shoulders to throw for 326 yards, three touchdowns, and a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

Although Hurts hasn’t been on the same page as his receivers lately, DeVonta Smith has a career-best 183 yards and a score while AJ Brown has two touchdowns in a freewheeling display that Eagles fans have been clamoring for.

Although Philadelphia typically uses a more traditional approach, Hurts’ throwing total of 215 yards on 20-yard throws in his career could indicate that they are using the handbrake.

In his 93rd regular-season victory, returning receiver Rashee Rice ignited a 31-0 shutout of the somewhat unfavorable Las Vegas Raiders with the same amount of energy.

After a shaky start, the 4-3 Chiefs have won four straight wins in five, averaging 31.5 points per game over the previous four, with only the Colts having more clinical possession.

Who are the pretenders and contenders for the NFL?

If Drake Maye continues to lead the Patriots with such poise and accuracy, he could be in for MVP contention.

In his second season, Tom Brady was the team’s quarterback, but he set a new record for the team with a 91.3% completion rate in their victory over the Titans. That’s quite a feat when you consider that team has had Tom Brady for 20 years.

Even though this most recent game was against the Titans, the Pats are 5-2 and have already won all four of their away games.

Green Bay outgained Arizona by 27-23, which was far from convincing. Cards quarterback Jacoby Brissett still had some fun playing quarterback against the Packers defense, who had three sacks.

Their main goal is keeping their star running back in shape moving forward, which is why they always looked a little toothless on offense whenever Josh Jacobs wasn’t on the field.

Dak Prescott scored three touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys in their fourth straight game against a struggling Washington, who had lost Jayden Daniels to a hamstring injury.

The Commanders, who combined for 308 yards and two scores to go, were deeply concerned about that.

Only the Patriots can match Chicago’s four-win streak following its victory over the Saints’ struggling offense from Caleb Williams.

The defense, which had three interceptions and a fumble from Spencer Rattler, leads the league in terms of yards and touchdowns, and the Bears combined for 222 yards and two scores in the NFL.

But Williams will need more.

The San Francisco 49ers have some injuries, but they still have a chance if they can get Christian McCaffrey.

After overcoming the Atlanta Falcons 20-10, McCaffrey added 201 total yards and two touchdowns to put the Niners at 5-2.

With 31 points, the Browns defeated the Dolphins, who had previously managed just 17 in a game, to prove Miami’s lack of success.
