Cheeky Amanda Holden served up a tennis treat as the age-defying TV and radio star gets ready for the second week of Wimbledon.

The 54-year-old Britain’s Got Talent recreated the famous Tennis Girl poster as she appeared to brush off recent Ofcom complaints over her daring wardrobe on the ITV show. She showed off some skin as she lifted up part of her pink skirt under the sun in Majorca during a photoshoot.

Her snap, already liked by over 40,000 fans on Instagram alone, saw the star on court as she promoted Revive Collagen. She captioned the upload: “Cheeky? Are you enjoying Wimbledon?” Some of the stars to give her some love were Piers Morgan and Scarlett Moffatt.

The legendary Tennis Girl image was captured by photographer Martin Elliott and it featured his then girlfriend, 18-year-old Fiona Butler, back in 1976. Athena sold more than two million copies – but the model, who went on to become a mother of three and freelance illustrator, did not receive any royalties.

She said: “I was very naive and was paid nothing, and I think it’s the biggest-selling poster ever. My mother has a very faded copy in what used to be my father’s study and I just have it in the form of a very small postcard”. Ms Walker was not a keen tennis player and borrowed her tennis dress from a “friend of a friend”, her father’s plimsolls, and used “the dog’s” tennis balls for the image.

Meanwhile, Jamie Theakston says Amanda has been a ‘key part’ of his recovery following a battle with stage one laryngeal cancer, which he was given the all clear for in January. The Heart Breakfast presenter, 54, told Mirror: “Amanda has been fantastic, she’s been a part of my recovery. So, yeah, it has brought us closer as friends.”

Jamie was diagnosed with stage one laryngeal cancer back in September 2024 after listeners noticed a difference in his voice – initially putting it down to a mere sore throat. The broadcaster has since undergone three surgeries and revealed in January that he was cancer free.

Back in 1976, the poster was on hundreds of thousands of walls

And giving an update on how he’s feeling now, five months after getting the all clear and returning to work, Jamie said: “I’m feeling great, my family are all really great too.” Jamie shares children Sidney, 17, and Kit, 16, with his wife of almost two decades Sophie Siegle, with the presenter admitting that his family are all ‘relieved’ and happy to have him back in healthy form.

While Jamie and Amanda may be tight-knit friends, he revealed that the early morning wake up calls don’t always have them on the right side of the bed. “We can be moody sometimes”, he laughed.

“But we just argue it out on air and then it’s fine”! I personally celebrate my 20th year]on Heart] this year – I was only meant to do two! So I don’t quite understand how that happened, but, no, I love it, I love going in every day. It’s a great job. Here’s to twenty more. “

Amanda is no stranger to showing off her incredible figure. She sent fans wild last month as she stripped down to a tiny pink bikini as she enjoyed the sunshine. Matching pink heels to strut around a swimming pool on the Spanish holiday island of Majorca, she was quick to let everyone know she was having a great time.

And fans couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing, as one wrote in the comments:” Imagine being in your 50’s and looking that good in a bikini, “as another replied:” Right? “As many more posted heart and flame emojis, a third said:” Looking fabulous!!! “A fourth declared her” perfection”, as a fifth commented” what a body. “A sixth joked:” Look amazing, wish I could walk in those shoes! “

Her celebrity pals were equally in awe. Ex-EastEnders ‘ star Jo Joyner wrote:” You’re ridiculously hot “followed by a flame emoji”. There she is, “said former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers. Vicky Pattinson simply wrote:” AMANDA!!!! “with four flame emojis. While her Heart FM co-star, former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts commented:” Jheeez. “

Mulder declares 33 short of Lara’s Test record score

South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder declared on himself, passing up the opportunity to break Brian Lara’s record for the highest individual score in a Test innings.

Mulder, captaining South Africa for the first time, was 367 not out at lunch on the second day of the second Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.

He was 33 runs behind the 400 not out West Indies legend Lara made against England in Antigua in 2004.

The 27-year-old opted against his shot at one of Test cricket’s most iconic records, instead declaring South Africa’s first innings on 626-5.

Mulder instead ended with the fifth-highest individual score and best by a South African.

Lara’s effort in Antigua 21 years ago was the second time he broke the record. He made 375, also against England, in 1994, before Australia’s Matthew Hayden passed that with 380 against Zimbabwe in Perth in 2003.

The other score ahead of Mulder is the 374 by Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene against South Africa in 2006.

Mulder is South Africa’s third different captain in as many Tests following injuries to Temba Bavuma and Keshav Maharaj.

The all-rounder was batting at number three, a position he was only promoted to at the end of last year after much of his 21-Test career was spent in the lower-middle order.

Highest individual scores in Test cricket

400* – Brian Lara for West Indies v England, Antigua 2004

380 – Matthew Hayden for Australia v Zimbabwe, Perth 2003

375 – Brian Lara for West Indies v England, Antigua 1994

374 – Mahela Jayawardene for Sri Lanka v South Africa, Colombo 2006

Mulder began the day on 264 out of South Africa’s overnight 465-4. On the opening day, he was bowled on 247 by Zimbabwe’s Tanaka Chivanga, only for replays to show Chivanga had over-stepped for a no-ball.

His triple-century was only the second by a South African, after Hashim Amla’s 311 not out against England at The Oval in 2012. Mulder reached 300 from 297 balls, the second-fastest in Test cricket after the 278 taken by India’s Virender Sehwag against South Africa in 2008.

In reaching 367 at the interval and with almost four full days remaining in the Test, Mulder had enough time to attempt to break Lara’s record without negatively impacting South Africa’s chances of victory.

Yet he opted against batting on, possibly out of respect for the legendary Lara.

The move has echoes of then Australia captain Mark Taylor declaring on himself 334 not out against Pakistan in 1998, having equalled the great Don Bradman’s highest score by an Australian. That record then went to Hayden five years later.

Overall, this was the 33rd individual scores in excess of 300 in Test cricket.

Mulder also passed up the opportunity to notch only the 12th quadruple century in first-class cricket.

The record for the highest first-class score is also held by Lara for his 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994.

Coincidentally, Mulder was on the field for the last quadruple-century in first-class cricket.

Gaza toddler with shrapnel in brain fights for life after family killed

Amr al-Hams, age 3, has shrapnel embedded in his brain from an Israeli airstrike, and he is immobile in his southern Gaza hospital bed.

His eyes dart around in search of his mother, according to Nour, his aunt. He is unable to speak or walk.

Inas, Amr’s mother, visited her parents in northern Gaza at nine months pregnant. Their tent was struck that night. His grandfather, two of his siblings, two of his parents, and his mother were all killed in the attack.

After being taken to intensive care with a breathing tube, Amr remained unharmed. His father, who has been grieving, is nearly speechless.

Amr has left intensive care and is now severely malnourished at Khan Younis’ Nasser Hospital. During Israel’s months-long blockade, the fortified milk he needed vanished.

Nour syringes him with mashed lentils. He is comforted by her while she sleeps next to him, changes his nappies, and sleeps next to him.

She says, “I tell him his mother will be back soon.” I occasionally give him a toy. He cries, though. He must miss her, in my opinion.

Amr must be immediately evacuated from the conflict zone, according to doctors. His brain injuries are likely to have long-term effects without medical treatment and therapy.

Defender Aina signs fresh three-year Forest deal

Defender Ola Aina has signed a three-year deal with Nottingham Forest.

The Nigeria full-back had one year left on his previous contract but is now tied down until 2028.

The 28-year-old played a key role in helping Forest finish seventh in the Premier League last season to qualify for the Europa Conference League play-offs.

“I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here”, he said.

“Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work”.

Aina, who started his career at Chelsea, joined from Torino on a free transfer two years ago and has made 59 appearances, scoring twice.

He is the latest player to commit his future to Forest this year as the club ties down its key men.

Neco Williams penned a new deal last week while in January last season’s 20-goal top-scorer Chris Wood and defender Murillo also signed fresh terms.

Last month, manager Nuno Espirito Santo was rewarded for returning Forest to Europe for the first time since 1995-96 with a new three-year contract.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis added: “Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance.

” He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest.
