India pace bowler Mohammed Siraj has been punished for his celebration on dismissing England opener Ben Duckett on the fourth morning of the thrilling third Test at Lord’s.
After Duckett was caught at mid-on, Siraj extended his follow-through to scream in his face, with the two then brushing shoulders as the batter left the field.
Siraj, 31, has been fined 15% of his match fee and given one demerit point. Four demerit points in a 24-month period triggers a ban, with Siraj now on two after an incident in the second Test against Australia in Adelaide of December last year.
Match referee Richie Richardson deemed Siraj to have breached the International Cricket Council’s code of conduct for “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal”.
The incident came as part of a tetchy Test. Prior to the Siraj-Duckett clash, players exchanged words on the third evening when England opener Zak Crawley wasted time to ensure the home side faced only one over before the close.
A similar situation occurred on the fourth evening, this time with India nightwatchman Akash Deep trying to limit the amount of overs bowled before stumps.
Deep was ultimately bowled by England captain Ben Stokes with the last ball of the day, setting up a tantalising final morning on Monday.
Chelsea striker Joao Pedro said Paris St-Germain “lost their heads” in the aftermath of Sunday’s Club World Cup final.
The Brazil forward, 23, ended up on the floor during an incident involving PSG manager Luis Enrique, as tempers flared between the two sides following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Joao Pedro, who scored Chelsea’s third goal, said: “I don’t need to talk about them. Everyone wants to win the game and, in the end, I think they lost their heads.
“But this is football. This has happened. Now we need to enjoy it because we won the tournament, that’s it.
“I don’t want to talk too much about them because you know how it works. Football is this.”
Luis Enrique, whose side were bidding to follow up their domestic treble and Champions League victory in 2024-25 with Club World Cup success, said: “I have no problem expressing my feelings at the end of the game in a high level of pressure. It’s very stressful for all of us. It is going to be impossible to avoid that.
“Everybody was involved. It was not what was best and the end result of the pressure of the match.
“I have seen [Chelsea manager Enzo] Maresca. I saw he had pushed others and we had to separate all the players and I do not know where that pressure came from.
“But this is a situation we must all avoid, that goes without saying. My intention was to separate the footballers so the situation didn’t become worse.”

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer may have found himself in the spotlight after his team thrashed Paris Saint-Germain in the first FIFA Club World Cup final, however his girlfriend has made sure to stay out of it. The England ace, 23, was crowned player of the tournament and got two goals to his name in the final.
He made sure to revel in his club’s success last night and even sent out an expletive message to his haters. Cole declared: “Everyone’s talked about lot of s*** about us!,” as he soaked up the win.
US President Donald Trump was also at the MetLife Stadium as he watched Chelsea pick up the trophy following their 3-0 win. He was met with some boos from the crowd and suffered an awkward moment when presenting the players with their medals.
Cole appeared baffled as he prepared to lift the trophy with Trump right next to him and asked: “What’s he doing?” FIFA president Gianni Infantino even tried to instruct Trump to move aside and let Chelsea have their moment, but he ignored suggestion and remained at centre stage.

The tense scenes came just moments after tempers boiled over at full-time, as a brawl saw players and management teams from both clubs involved. PSG boss Luis Enrique even struck Chelsea’s Joao Pedro, leaving the Brazilian on the floor.

The couple have rarely been photographed together, however Connie opened up on their romance as part of Amazon Prime’s documentary England’s Lions: A New Generation.
She revealed to the Daily Mail that they have known each other since they were 17. “I think he knew me through mutual friends so I think he probably had his eye on me,” she confessed.
Speaking of Cole, Connie gushed: “Oh, he’s warm and cuddly. Well, with me, hopefully with no one else.” Despite his huge success at such a young age, Connie admitted the footballer hasn’t changed by the fame.

“Cole now is still the same Cole that I met when I was 17,” she shared in the documentary. “Obviously, he’s changed, he’s grown up, and his life now is completely different, but he’s still the same boy; he’s still laid-back Cole.”

Dani Dyer is still in her newlywed bubble as she decided to give fans an even closer look at her big day six weeks on. The former Love Island star, 28, tied the knot with footballer Jarrod Bowen alongside their nearest and dearest in an intimate ceremony.
Their big day that took place in a purpose-built glass marquee in the Buckinghamshire, although the ceremony itself was held outside to make the most of the sunny weather. Around 60 people are said to have attended the ceremony, where the pair were showered in white confetti before both Jarrod and Dani’s dad Danny gave emotional speeches.
The dancefloor was kicked off by a touching moment between Dani and Danny as the actor held back tears during their routine together. Now, Dani has looked back on her special day as she shared the personal touches they included.

In a series of new snaps, Dani looked stunning before she walked down the aisle as she held her white bouquet. She made sure to include her children in the ceremony as the new bride and groom posed for a sweet family snap with their twins Summer and Star as well as Dani’s son Santiago.
The family beamed in the adorable photo as the twin girls wore matching white dresses and Santiago threw his hands up in the air. Former EastEnders star and proud dad Danny also got in on the action as he beamed alongside his daughter and new son-in-law.
His very touching moment of seeing Dani for the first time in her bridalwear captured the emotions of the day. Dani was also supported by her best friends as she got ready for her wedding in white pyjamas while her six pals were on hand to take in the day with her.
The couple included some personal items on their big day, as Dani shared a sweet card placed on the head table reading: “The boy is mine.” Her heels featured “wifey for lifey” on the soles while her garter was decorated in Jarrod’s beloved West Ham colours and included a little football detail.
Alongside the photos, Dani reminisced: “6 weeks ago.”
Her proud dad Danny Dyer was among the first to reply, as he warned his daughter: “Don’t start me off again for f***s sake.” The West Ham fan has joked that he would have married Jarod – who is the Hammers’ captain – himself as he called him his dream son-in-law.
While Dani’s sister Sunnie replied to the photos calling it ‘The most perfect day.’

Since their big day, Dani and Jarrod have been in their newly married bliss and made sure to soak it all up on a lavish honeymoon to Italy.
However, when she returned to the UK from Lake Como Dani revealed the newlyweds were hit with gloomy weather but still made the most of their honeymoon bubble. “The weather was terrible, it rained for three days,” she told her dad on their podcast.
“But we were very lucky, because it always stopped raining when we went for lunch and for dinners and stuff.” Dani admitted they swapped tanning for telly, champagne and baths.
“We just could never sunbathe, and there’s not really much to do there,” she added. “So, we just binged the whole series of MobLand. We ate and I’d just drink champagne and have loads of baths!”
“It was actually so nice because obviously I was in such wedding blues – it was so nice to go away for a few days and just have lay ins and spend time together,” Dani admitted. “It was just so nice. We was just so happy the whole time.”
However, dad Danny got a little too real in his own confession about his honeymoon. He told his daughter: “To be fair, you shouldn’t really be getting out of bed a lot in your honeymoon because me and your mother ended up in Florence, and you know, we was appalling! I mean, honestly, I look back on it and I think, ‘f****** hell! How on Earth did I manage to get in those sorts of positions!’”
