Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn has been signed by Nottingham Forest for a one-year deal.

Gunn made 35 Championship starts for Norwich City last season before leaving the Canaries when his contract expired in May.

The 29-year-old started his career at Norwich before moving to Manchester City, where he signed his first professional contract in 2013.

He made 172 appearances for the Canaries over the course of two seasons before leaving for Norwich three years later.

I’m looking forward to joining Forest and getting to work because it’s a historic club on an exciting journey, said Gunn.

“I’m joining a good group of keepers, and I think my experience will benefit the team.” He continued, “I can’t wait to get going.”

Scotland have 16 caps under their belts, and Gunn started all three of their group games at Euro 2024 last year.

Dewsbury-Hall out ‘to prove a point’ as he joins Everton

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea has been signed for around £28 million by Everton.

The 26-year-old’s initial cost is £24 million, with additional costs of £3-4 million due in additions.

Dewsbury-Hall has agreed to stay with the Toffees for five years until June 30, 2030.

Following the signings of Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, and Adam Aznou, the Leicester City graduate is Everton’s fifth summer signing.

My family and I are both excited, to be honest. This is creating real buzz. Dewsbury-Hall responded, “It feels right for me.”

Dewsbury-Hall’s Chelsea flop, did you?

Dewsbury-Hall made a good match for Maresca’s Chelsea system, but he didn’t play a half-part because Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Enzo Fernandez all started in front of him in the midfield pecking order.

Dewsbury-Hall scored four goals in the Uefa Conference League and came off the bench to give Jadon Sancho the lead in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the May final despite only starting twice in the Premier League in his sole season at Chelsea.

He made his fifth goal for the club in the team’s 4-1 victory over Benfica and made his debut in the team’s 3-0 victory over Paris St-Germain. He was mostly used as a substitute in the Fifa Club World Cup.

When given a chance, he did well for the Stamford Bridge side, but he soon started to do so after being a regular player who moved in and then dropped.

Due to Uefa’s recent punishment for financial control violations, Chelsea must sell players from their most recent Conference League team to maintain a “positive transfer balance” this summer, which is particularly important.

A midfielder’s source for goals?

The addition of Dewsbury-Hall would give their midfield much-needed depth and quality, according to Everton manager David Moyes, who has been vocal about his need for fresh faces this summer.

Chelsea’s successful Conference League campaign saw the 26-year-old play a constant role, but ultimately struggled to make his way into the Premier League.

He started for the Blues in the top two spots, and his total playing time for 13 league games was only 256.

Moyes will find Dewsbury-Hall’s performances during Leicester’s 2023-24 promotion campaign particularly interesting because they will replace Abdoulaye Doucoure’s significant central attacking contributions.

Is Trump winning the trade war and at what cost to the economy?

Trump is already praising the benefits of the US economy as the country’s tariff policy develops.

Donald Trump wants the world’s trading system to rebalance. Many nations have been subject to a new round of tariffs, according to the president.

Trump’s trade experiment appears to be working out better than most people had anticipated, at least for the time being. Deals that are more in line with his demands than his have been made by his biggest trading partners.

Higher tariff revenues are being poured in from the financial markets and recouped by the government. However, according to economists, tariffs will increase the cost of many products for Americans.

What effect do tariffs have on the manufacturing centers in Asia?

Lagos-Calabar Highway: Real Estate Investor Says Compensation For Demolition Of Properties Insignificant

Stella Okengwu, a real estate investor, has criticized the significant losses that developers have suffered as a result of the development of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project.

She insisted that the Federal Government’s payments to property owners were below the value of their investments, as she asserted on Wednesday on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.

“People who paid between 25 and 30 million dollars for each plot of serviced land, including drainage and sandfilling, are now being paid.” Some families have lost their homes.

She claimed that “one family was paid between $20 and $30 million for a house worth more than $300 million.”

She alleges that some Ministry of Works officials demanded money to stop the demolition of her property.

According to Okengwu, officials from the Ministry of Works acknowledged privately that some developers had bribed their way into approvals, revealing her personal experience.

She claimed a federal controller told her, “You’re talking too much, you’re talking too much.” Get your subscribers to contribute $200,000 to the ministry.

I have affected over 390 plots. These investors were diaspora Nigerians who had faith in me for their investment. They would assume I was responsible for what he said if I explained it to them.

The minister was harsh when I called him. They arrived the following day and began demolitions, she explained, but I apologised.

Further, she continued, “There is something they call an eminent domain in America. Your property will be secured if a government decides to seize it for eminent domain. The outcome will be good.

A former Strictly Come Dancing star has cheekily admitted finding the thought of nearly dying on live TV “slightly amusing”. Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who lit up the show in 2013, revealed that one of her performances could have turned into a real-life murder on the dance floor, echoing the title of her hit single from 2001.

The singer – who danced with Brendan Cole and came fourth behind ex-Coronation Street actor Natalie Gumede, Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid, and Strictly winner Abbey Clancy – later improved to becoming a runner-up in the 2014 Christmas special, losing out to Team GB gymnast Louis Smith.

But, on a podcast, Sophie shared a hair-raising moment from her time on the hit BBC show, set to return this autumn.

“I began the show dance suspended above the Strictly dance floor in a disco ball. I was supposed to have a little clip, and I decided not to use it,” she recounted to Mel Giedroyc’s Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake. “I was slightly amused at the idea that live on telly I might plummet to my death, falling out of a disco ball onto a dance floor.”

Sophie burst into laugher after making that admission, before adding: “Anyway, it didn’t happen. But I think something similar, I might as well just embrace it.”

“Did they [Strictly’s producers] not realize that you hadn’t put the clip on,” Mel questioned. “

Sophie, married to The Feeling’s bassist Richard Jones, responded: “Why would they know? I’m up there. I had it on when they took me up. I just undid it when I was up there because I thought…”

Further inquiry was made by Mel: “Is it because you didn’t want that fumble moment?” “

Sophie responded, “Yes, because I had to leave the routine quite quickly. I simply pondered whether or not I should be faffing about with a clip. So I just undid it and felt fine. I was sitting in a similar position, but inside a sphere, about the edge. “

Sophie also admitted to being “annoying” and dreaded becoming the jokes’ hook once she passed away in the podcast, where celebs discuss their preferred methods of dying and their dream funerals.

She stated, “So I have realized not long ago… I used to say that a nightclub’s death would immediately turn into a joke because “I can’t possibly die there.” They will immediately appear as “murder on the dance floor, obviously.” “

Sophie, I don’t want you to be murdered, though! Sophie was prompted to clarify, “OK,” by Mel. I won’t be killed, though. No, absolutely not. But I soon realized that no matter how I pass away, the joke will be made.

Someone will say, “Did you hear how Sophie died,” I suppose. The other person will ask, “Was it murder on the dance floor?” I am unable to leave that situation at this time. It will become a joke in just five minutes, roughly. It is incredibly annoying. “
