Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of New Brazil, stated that he is “honoured and proud to lead the world’s best team” and wants to see the World Cup win in 2026.

In a press conference held at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the 65-year-old was officially appointed as Brazil’s head.

After four years as Real Madrid’s manager, the Italian has recently come to Selecao. In his two years in charge, he has won the Champions League three times, as well as the La Liga title twice.

Ancelotti also helped AC Milan win two European titles, including the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea and the French and German domestic titles with Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich, respectively.

He said, “I have a significant job ahead of me.” “The challenge is great, I’m delighted. This team and I have always been very close. We’ll work to reclaim Brazil as the world’s champion.

Brazil has qualified for the World Cup five times, with the most recent triumph coming in 2002. Ancelotti’s first two games with them qualify for the South American World Cup.

Five days later, they travel to Sao Paulo to face Ecuador at home, followed by a home game against Paraguay.

Former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari welcomed Ancelotti, who took his place after being humiliated by Argentina in a 4-1 defeat, which is the latest in a line-up of subpar results.

With four matches left, Brazil is fourth in the South American World Cup, with the top six teams earning direct entry into the competition from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

For his first World Cup qualifiers of the week, Ancelotti has chosen Casemiro and Richarlison from Manchester United.

Since their team lost to Uruguay in October 2023 with a 2-0 defeat, the pair has not played for their nation.

Alisson, Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira, Bruno Guimaraes, Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal, Matheus Cunha of Wolves, Andreas Pereira, Andreas Pereira, and Fulham goalkeeper Alisson are also members of the 25-man group.

Antony, who is currently on loan at Real Betis from Manchester United, has also been chosen for the Spanish side’s Wednesday conference league match against Chelsea.

Although he made a substitute appearance for Santos on Sunday in their 1-0 win over Vitoria in Brazil’s Serie A, striker Neymar has been ruled out as he recovers from a thigh injury he sustained in April.

Goalkeepers: Hugo Souza (Corinthians), Alisson (Liverpool), Bento (Al-Nassr), and Bento (Liverpool).

Wesley (all Flamengo), Alex Sandro, Danilo, Leo Ortiz, Marquinhos, Marquinhos, both Paris Saint-Germain, Carlos Augusto, Inter Milan, and Vanderson (Monaco) are the defenders.

Andreas Pereira (Fulham), Andrey Santos (Strasbourg), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle), Casemiro (Manchester United), Ederson (Atalanta), and Gerson (Flamengo).

X Factor star left ‘devastated’ as they’re rushed to hospital in excruciating pain

Myles Stephenson, who is best known for his time in RAK-SU, has announced a serious injury that will keep him off his feet for the foreseeable future. The 33-year-old singer shared a hospital photo showing his leg heavily bandaged following what he described as a painful sports-related incident. The injury occurred during a football game, and the outcome was severe.

“Only gone and ruptured my Achilles haven’t I?” he told fans, confirming the diagnosis with clear frustration. Facing an extended period of recovery, the former X Factor winner admitted the reality of the situation was starting to sink in. “I’ve realised how stressful the next few months are going to be on crutches,” he wrote. “Work, family, simple things like tidying/washing. I am not looking forward to it.”

At home, Myles is a hands-on dad to his two young children, Shiloh, three, and Sahara, two, whom he shares with wife Keli Hall. The injury is likely to present extra challenges for the family, especially given their son Shiloh’s additional needs.

Last year, Myles shared with followers that Shiloh had suffered an undetected stroke as a baby, resulting in a diagnosis of Hemiplegic cerebral palsy. The condition, caused by irreversible brain damage, affects the right side of Shiloh’s body and requires him to wear splints and a mobility frame for support.

Speaking to Mirror last year, Myles said: “I had heard of cerebral palsy but didn’t know much about it. Shiloh has missed quite a lot of milestones, there were a number of things he couldn’t do. It’s showing more now that he’s getting older and can walk, we can see the effect of cerebral palsy more prominently.”

The former I’m A Celebrity campmate has kept fans updated on his son over the years, including having announced last year that Shiloh could have botox injections to “relax the muscles” in his leg. More recently, Myles shared an update on Instagram as he shared footage of his son walking.

Singer Myles wrote in the post: “For the first ever our Shiloh has been able to walk with his heel down! He recently underwent Botox injections into his calf and hamstring and then put in a cast for two weeks. The reason for the Botox injections is to relax muscles on the side affected by hemiplegia.”

He continued by writing on the platform: “This was the first real positive in his journey with CP. His excitement in being able to put his foot down brought Keli to tears. He even made a friend yesterday and danced with a little girl who also got her cast off and walked with her heels down.”

Myles concluded with a message for his followers. He told them: “Now this isn’t always the result for everybody but for anybody debating whether to get injections. From OUR experience it is worth a shot! Good luck people.”

Beyond his personal life, Myles continues to work with his RAK-SU bandmates – Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurlan, and Mustafa Rahimtulla — as they push forward with new music. The group, who made history in 2017 by becoming the first all-male act to win The X Factor, experienced a rocky road after being dropped by Simon Cowell’s label just a year later – a move that left them “very upset and confused.”

In 2020, the group shared that Mustafa would be stepping away temporarily due to mental health struggles. Despite the setback, RAK-SU has remained active in the music scene, continuing to release material to the delight of loyal fans.

Now, with a long rehabilitation ahead, Myles is hoping the injury won’t derail his work or slow down the group’s momentum.

‘My son cut me off like Brooklyn Beckham – he came crawling back for one reason’

A mum, who is known for her controversial views, believes Brooklyn Beckham will soon make amends with his family after his alleged feud with his parents – as her son also ditched her

Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly caught up in a feud with his family, but one parent knows all too well what it feels like and said the 26-year-old will return to the fold for one particular reason.

Carla Bellucci, who has been dubbed ‘Britain’s most hated mum’, has opened up about her own family drama and likened it to the reported rift between Brooklyn and his parents. The Hertfordshire mum, 42, who gained notoriety for her unconventional parenting methods, has often sparked public fury – she even encouraged her daughter to join OnlyFans as soon as she turned 18 to help fund her ‘early retirement’.

Yet, it was her eldest son who first distanced himself from her, an act she describes as a “dagger through the heart.” Carla believes she understands what Victoria Beckham must be feeling amid rumours that Nicola Peltz, 30, is “isolating” Brooklyn from his family.

Following Brooklyn’s declaration that he will “always choose” Nicola in a recent video, Carla has shared her thoughts, predicting he’ll rue the decision and eventually come “crawling” back home, no matter how long it takes, reports the Daily Star.

Carla asserts that a mother’s love is unparalleled and reveals she’s reconnected with her own son after a previous dispute involving his girlfriend. “I think the feud is insane – family always comes first,” Carla remarked. “When s*** hits the fan, he will need his mum and dad, you can never forget blood is thicker than water. I think the girlfriends get in their heads. It’s so sad because one day they will need us!”.

She continued: “I’m afraid it will go all wrong, it always does, and then he will be crawling back with his tail between his legs. It’s just so sad how you can do all this for a kid then nothing. 18 years of their life, for what?”.

Speculation over the state of Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents, David and Victoria, surfaced earlier this month after he failed to attend either of his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations. The former footballer was reportedly left devastated without his eldest son there.

This followed a string of family events they had already missed, including Mother’s Day and Victoria’s birthday, which Brooklyn skipped in favour of Coachella with his wife Nicola. Adding to the family drama, Brooklyn also remained silent on social media for both his parents’ birthdays this year, something which is quite unusual for the Beckhams.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn and his brother Romeo are allegedly no longer on speaking terms due to Romeo’s relationship with Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn was involved with Kim a few years ago before meeting Nicola, but he’s said to be concerned about Kim’s motives in dating his younger brother.

Insiders also report that tensions between Victoria and Nicola have been growing since Brooklyn’s lavish Miami wedding, with the strained relations simmering over the past three years. While some of Nicola’s mates have branded David and Victoria as “emotionally abusive and toxic”, sources close to the Beckhams suggest that Nicola is the one “pulling the strings” and shaping an “unhealthy relationship.”

No matter who bears the blame, Carla relates painfully to the ordeal because it has “so many similarities” to her own woes of having an estranged son. Her empathy lies with the Beckhams in what she describes as a “lose-lose situation”.

Despite renewing contact with her own son and his partner, Carla admits the dynamic has shifted. She shared: “I just think it’s horrific and I feel for the Beckhams,” as she understands the pain and confusion from seeing her own son just once a year.

Carla noted that there is “no love like a mother’s love”, but has chosen to move on from the family feud and “live life to the fullest as it’s out of our hands.” She also spoke about the difficulty in the situation for siblings, expressing how her other children “miss their big brother”, which might be similar for Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

“There’s so many similarities to the Beckhams. I feel like it’s a constant no win situation,” Carla added, “Brooklyn will wake up and realise he made the worst move of his life, you only get one mum and dad. You should appreciate them as you never know when you may need them.”
